Sole is too stiff

Loved the look, the upper part of the boot was fine, but the hard rubber sole was so stiff I couldn't walk, returned them

Beautiful boot, just doesn’t fit my super high instep

I’ve been on the hunt for a new paddock boot for a bit and decided to go with Arial. I wear women’s 9 in as wide as I can get it, a C width in Ariel’s case. They fit well but the slightly pointier toe (important for getting into stirrups quickly) made the toe box a close fit, especially over my very high instep. I really needed an extra wide (D width), so I decided to try men’s boots which run wider in the first place. Well, fit in the foot is indeed a little better. However, interestingly, the height over the instep is lower than it is for comparable women’s sizing. I also tried a half size up, but same issue with the instep. That’s the only reason I deducted one star - the height on the instep. Otherwise, this is a beautiful boot that is very well made. I have always loved the resilient soles and these boots continue to shine in that regard. So, while these are being returned, I’m keeping the ones I ordered in women’s 9C - toe box is similar but they’ve got just enough additional height in the instep to be comfortable instead of putting constant pressure on the top of my foot.

These are REALLY Nice boots!

I was looking for a dress boot and these fit the bill perfectly. Comfortable as soon as I put them on. I will probably replace the foot bed with a Superfeet footbed as I do in all my shoes. The one they came with is nice and cushiony but not enough arch for me. Obviously a very quality product. Beautiful leather. So much lace that you can wrap them once around your ankle before tying. I am 5'10", 160 lbs and wear a size 10.

Yup.

Once again, Ariat is the. Gold. Standard. The tongue was thinner than I expected but that's so it can lace up. As with all leather, it requires care to make it last, especially with moisture (I have been told several times that kiwi is the best). I'm not even an equestrian. I just needed durable boots for gravel, dirt, and a lot of walking. The minute I stepped out of the car I knew they were perfect. I did go half a size up and I'm glad I did, but that's only because I didn't want to wait to break them in. They are a touch loose but that's what thick socks are for. Protip: Lace those top laces. It's a pain but worth it for ankle support.

Best riding boots

Love these boots. I love that Ariat is so consistent. I have a very wide foot and they don’t really sell wide women’s riding shoes so it was suggested to get men’s and that suggestion was correct. These look no different the. The women’s they just fit really well and I don’t get pinched and uncomfortable in them.

Great for English riding

These boots are great for riding with English stirrups. The soles are not too wide and do not have prominent lugs, they flex very well at the ankle, they are light, they have a decent heel and come with an English spur rest. You can use them with half chaps, which is not possible with hikers or western pull on boots. Also, if you ride western style and prefer boots with laces, these are fine but other lacer styles will probably be better for western riding. These are definitely not working boots.

Can’t Beat Ariat

I have never had to “break in” any pair of Ariats ~~ I have 5 pairs. Two for ranch/horse & the others are for dress & casual

Nice looking dress boot

Because of my fallen arch in my left foot I require a lace up shoe. It allows me to add additional arch support and still have a comfortable nice looking shoe.

Nice Men's boots

Gorgeous boots - very masculine for English boots. Ariat quality we all know and love. Price is better than any store I could find
