L'histoire d'Armitron est une histoire de caractère et d'esprit sans compromis, et commence avec un homme et une promesse. Face aux horreurs inimaginables d'Auschwitz, un jeune Eugen Gluck a juré : « Je vais survivre à ça. Et je vais vous montrer comment les êtres humains sont censés se traiter les uns les autres. Et il l'a fait. Il a survécu à l'Holocauste. Réfugiés à New York, M. Gluck et sa femme Jean (c'est vrai, Eugen et Jean, ça a été le coup de foudre !) ont entrepris d'incarner le rêve américain : d'abord avec une boulangerie, puis avec une entreprise horlogère. Cette entreprise est devenue "America's Watch", un leader de l'industrie qui a adopté la technologie et un design avant-gardiste pour se tailler une place dans l'air du temps américain.
