The suction works well. It was very hard for me to pull out the front piece and also to flip the brush. It is held pretty tight. I had fast shipping, I received it right away. The reason I gave it a 4 is because someone repacked and taped the item, as if it had been returned. I am disappointed with that since it was advertised as New. The only reason it MAY have been returned is because of how hard it was to use the accessories as I said above.

Surprised!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I made an exception here. So usually when someone says something sucks it's bad but this dustbuster really sucks! I mean it sucks up anything! It can handle big stuff and it won't rattle or clog it just goes into the chamber and keeps on sucking up whatever is around! I own a Bissell as my primary vacuum and I feel like this lil guy has a stronger vacuum than my 400$ Bissell.... WOW I can't speak on its longevity as I have only had it for maybe a week but so far I am impressed.

Second Generation!

This is my second Black and Decker hand~vac of this model. The flip-up brush is excellent for cat hair! I bought replacement filters for my original only to have it conk~out after 3 years! THREE years, every day. Well worth it! (Keep it maintained, clean the filters after each use.) Works well on stray cat~litter! Spare filters, available on Amazon, just type in style/product number.

who wants a hand held vac that dies after 5 minutes

I bought this because I thought it was the same as another B and D I have had for 9years--long pull out nose, good suction and good battery staying power. Unfortunately, i did not need it until a few days ago and that was outside of the return window so now I';m stuck with a vac that DOES NOT HAVE THE PULL OUT NOZZLE FOR CREVICES AND will not hold a charge. Dies after less than 5 minutes; fire it up again, it dies. Recharge: last 5 minutes. What a piece of trash for close to $50. I'll never touch another B and D product; it used to be a good brand, but not any more.

Great! Except....

Just purchased my second one, same model, as the one I bought 2 years ago. The battery started to lose its charge so I decided to change the battery. After removing around 10 screws I found that the battery pack was dated 2017! That means that this vacuum sat around for 4 years before I bought it. I also found that replacing the batteries would be a royal P.I.T.A. and cost ineffective. So, I bought a new one. Because when it works it works well. It's a crap shoot though with the batteries.

Disappointed

The vacuum takes a very long time to charge. However, it does pick up hair and lint, it has adequate suction. The charge does not last. I am semi-disabled and cannot vacuum my stairs with a conventional vacuum. I vacuumed four steps, and the vacuum lost power. I love Black & Decker products, I have several of their products from power tools to toaster ovens and coffee makers. I am very sorry to say I am disappointed in this one.

I really very disappoint for this product becuase this is not worth to buy, suction power is very LOW but working noise is so big! it seems it cannot suction anything but just a little bit hair and something like mote ,such as cobweb..... I text it many times, it even could not suction the small pieces of confetti ,rice grains, small salt particle...... But, the noise is very big!!! It is garbage! I have to buy another oneto replace it .

Doesn't suck.

I'm not a fan of this hand vacuum. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it has very poor suction/vacuuming ability. (I have to go over a handful of crumbs over and over again for it to suck them all up.) The nozzle does extend by physically pulling it out, but I find it to be very difficult to pull it in and out. The brush attachments flips over, but I don't really find that attachment very useful in a handvac. Just a quick tip for all cordless, rechargeable appliances, marker the product directly on the base plug so it's easy to remember what all those assorted charging cords are for. This plug is white, which makes it easy to just sharpie "Black & Decker Hand Vac" on it. Doing this is saving my sanity with all the rechargeable items I have. It's easy to empty & replace the dustbin canister. There's not a lot of "filtration" happening on this unit, and if you hold it the wrong way you get a faceful of vacuum air that hasn't been properly filtered. At $59.99 (at the time of this review) I would suggest spending a little more and finding a more powerful vacuum with a better filtration system.

Great Handheld!

We love this vacuum and I have to say my husband has taken to it greatly. It's lightweight, easy to use/clean, and has great suction. It's bigger in size than I had expected but it's sleek and so light it's easy to store. We had it up and running straight out of the box. It was even charged already! Cleaning is a matter of pressing a button and washing. The vacuum is particularly handy for us in the kitchen where my husband is enjoying sucking up spills and crumbs. Much better than a Hoover we had a couple of years ago.

Buena calidad, nada de potencia

Buena calidad de material, pero no tiene nada de potencia, el filtro se tapa rápido y el cepillo q trae incluido no sirve aspirando. Parece de juguete.
