Square is suppose to be a wee bit bigger than Round. RIGHT?
Last I heard you could take circle measured same as a square and lay it inside and so area wise a square is bigger than a circle. Anyway may not apply to this paper plate. I need 10" plates to place Rum Cakes I bake on. Used to find lovely holiday designs and buy them every year on sale. Not for a number of years or not big enough sized ones or dinner size or say plastic can actually warp/melt that's no good so skip those though big enough. The thin paper plates never have worked not even if you double tripled them the glaze works right through the plates soggy paper plates under a gifted rum cake...YUCK. The chinet style plates again go soggy. I actually used them this year but added circles of parchment and that's worked so so and so we had our rum cake we make for our home and keep one ourselves and low and behold not fond of the parchment fix either. So I saw these plates when oh how nice a square it'll be big enough and maybe even a bit more sturdy. Actually I think the lip all the way around the outside edges is deeper so it leaves a lot less plate to work with and turns out is too small for the rumcakes I bake. So nothings wrong perse with the plates for quality perse. But they needed to provide more space in the well and less edge. Round plates same size actually seem to have more space which physics suggests should not be the case. It's the way they are engineered and produced so it is what it is. We'll no doubt use up the plates over time just not too quick because we are not into paper plates unless we have company and traveling to somewhere that we need to leave a plate say of cookies or dish or what have you or bring paper plates to help feed a group. With Covid that's not happening these days....it'll be a few years before we work our way through these plates. Good news is they are paper not plastic. They will break down in the enviroment and not last for EVER. And if you have a campfire you could dispose of without leaving plastic melted into the fire pit too. Hey hey hey...my cup is always half full. Some days I wish it was a bit fuller but we are blessed. May you all Stay Safe and we will get through this. I'm off to search for the RIGHT paper plate. Yes I have had ones in the past. Next time I find one I'll have to buy 100 or approx 9 year supply. (Maybe I should go for 200 I plan to make them into my 90's at least. And I make 8-12 a year depending.)

Doesn’t Collapse
Using one hand to steer my electric wheelchair forces me to carry my plate of food with only one hand. While other paper plates collapse from the weight of the food, the sturdiness of these allow me to get to the table with my dinner in tact, and not all over the floor. A+

These are better than any disposable dishes for quick meals & entertaining.
We love everything about this product. They are sturdy and stand up to all kinds of food, plus they are so attractive. Everyone who has seen them and used them at my house wanted to know where i purchased them. They never thought to find them at Amazon= but they do now.!!!!!

Twice the price!
Though I love the glad square plates and have purchased them twice now, I’ve found that my local grocery store has the exact pack for “Half the Price”! I’ve been paying double the price for this product here. Not happy about paying double the price. I will buy this product from my local store from now on.

Too big to fit in a standard microwave properly
I have a standard sized microwave and these plates are too big to be used properly inside of it. The plate fits inside the microwave but is too large to allow the turntable to turn fully, so the plate just gets stuck and your food doesn't heat evenly. The square shape of the plate contributes to this issue as well. I wouldn't purchase these if you intend to use them to heat up food at all. I hate no problems with the plates leaking or anything like that though.

Not really sturdy as sometimes we double up but nice size and good enough for home use, not necessarily for a party or holiday.
