Exactly what I needed
Had some security screws that I needed to take out. These bits worked great. Seem durable, but I haven't used them a whole lot.

Goos product but not meant for heavy duty
They go dull very easy. If you want to screw only 2 screws to a wood that already have the holes to screw in, 1 of them will be enough to order. More than 2 screws… do the math!

Quick delivery, just what I needed.
The bit set was delivered almost immediately and did the job perfectly. I couldn’t buy the bits at the big box stores so getting them from Amazon met my need to make a repair promptly.

I bought this to help me take apart my old MacBook Pro's hard drive so I could destroy the platters. I couldn't remove one of the screws. I worked on trying to get it removed for hours (and the ones I was able to get off, took a long time). I even ruined the head of the screw while trying so I thought I'd never get it off, but after this bit set arrived, I had it removed in one second. It was such a relief! Now I'll have the set for my next Platter Destroy Mission!

I haven't used these, yet. However like to note that the description is in fact slightly wrong compared to the item received. The bits that are not "security bits" (hallow center) are T4, T5, T6, AND T7. The set looks pretty good. Comparing them to some bits that I have the 'points' don't look nearly as nice. My T8 bit in particular worries me. The points are all different sizes on the T8.. However this might be completely a mute point, like I said I haven't got to use them yet. I'm going to leave a 5-Star review for the time being and if I do find they end up wearing faster, etc than I'll update the review. Otherwise they worked great and I would recommend.

A must-have for adjusting Leatherman multitools
I purchased this set of star points to adjust several different multi-tool knives. They are well-made bits and have become indispensable to me. You really need two identical sets of these little devils - since you need to apply torque simultaneously to the star fittings on opposite sides of the bearing when adjusting. Using the Silverhill Security bits (Security here means the star has a post which needs a corresponding hole in the bit) I was able to fine tune the knife blade on a stiff Leatherman Charge so that it opens smoothly yet displays no discernible play. I also repaired a Gerber multi-tool spring assisted blade that had more than 3-mm of play.

Poor tolerances, not the shape they should be. Would not buy again.
The holes are very far off center. On the T7 bit, the hole is significantly off center. The thickest wall appears to be more than twice as thick as the thinnest. On the T8 bit, the hole is somewhat off center. The thickest wall appears to be 1.5x as thick as the thinnest. On the T9 bit, the hole is extremely off center, within a few thousandths of an inch of breaking through to the outside. The thickest wall is around 5x as thick as the thinnest. On the T10 bit, the hole is somewhat off center. The thickest wall appears to be 1.5x as thick as the thinnest. On the T15 bit, the hole is significantly off center. The thickest wall appears to be 3x as thick as the thinnest. On the T20 bit, the hole is somewhat off center. The thickest wall appears to be 2x as thick as the thinnest. On the T25 bit, the hole is somewhat off center. The thickest wall appears to be 1.5x as thick as the thinnest. Will these serve the purpose they're supposed to? I'm not sure. The off-center hole might keep them from fitting on some security torx fasteners. Based on the manufacturing tolerances I don't really trust the material either. I know this is an inexpensive product, but I was hoping the quality would be reasonable.

Good product.
I collect knives and a lot of them I wind up carrying, not on my belt but in my pocket. Therefore I do not need the clips on the outside of the knives that attach them to a belt. These 6 point star bits, along with a 5 point set I purchased at the same time are great for removing the belt clips from these knives. I was very happy to find them and they work really well. Every tinkerer should have a full set in his tool kit.

You get what you pay for...
I knew going into this purchase that I was taking a risk at this price point and that proves to be the case here. The bits are as advertised BUT many of the center drilled holes in the bits are offset, making them at VERY LEAST difficult to seat properly on the screw head and stay securely when in use and in one case, it is impossible to use. As it turns out for me, I was able to use the one head that I really needed the set for and so, short term, it has fulfilled my needs but if I find myself needing some of the other sizes, I might have to shell out for a better set.
