Arrived with bad terminal track

Set arrived with bad terminal connection track. Connecting the transfomer connection wire to the track will short that piece of track without the transformer connected as verified with a multi meter. Have contacted service department and will update review when they respond.

Not as easy as you would think

I thought all I would have to do was snap the track together and amaze my Grand daughter. Only one of my N scale locomotives would make it partially around the figure eight. The locos and stock cars would derail and sometimes come to a dead stop at track joints, the absolute worst being the cross joint at the center of the figure eight. I moved the tract to the most absolute flat surface I could find and filed down each track joint until at least one Diesel loco pulling several cars was able to make it around the track. The worst piece was the cross joint. The plastic parts of this joint would actually stop the loco or at least derail it. After hours of work, the tracks performance is approaching acceptable.
