Train track
Hubby needed these and they work great.

Works great.....after tweeking.
Like all EZ turnouts, this needs tweeking. The points invariably need to be filed down to prevent derailment. There are numerous videos illustrating how to do this on YT. Once this is done, they work just fine.

Typical Bachmann low quality
Like many Bachman products, it comes with problems out of the box. Someone must have accidentally drug their soldering iron across the plastic part of the roadbed and melted it onto the wires that control the turnout. Not great quality control, and while the quality of the silver track with the gray road bed is slightly better than that with the steel track and the black road bed, it's still hit or miss with quality control with Bachman. I can't recommend using their system because you're stuck with their system. It may be more difficult to set up initially, but more generic snap track is probably a better way to go. They're trying to make Bachman EZ track into more of a toy that's easy to assemble, and that's almost what it is, just a toy.

There is something missing here...
I have to admit that although almost everything I have for On30 narrow gauge model railroading is Bachmann, their customer service is not that great. It took over a week to get an answer back on what you need to use to power these turnouts. There is a warning that you cannot power the actuators off the track voltage (which would overload the accessories (which I took to mean the turnout motors)), but no mention of what you DO use for this purpose. Then when I found a place on their web site that did make a statement on this, it suggested a Bachmann power supply that I cannot find listed anywhere, even on their site. What you need is a source of 16vac, which goes into the side of the button (which can be daisy-chained together) This keeps that power separate from the DC used to power the rolling stock. I bought a simple Bachmann power pack with AC terminals (my Bachmann E-Z Command Control Center DCC controller does not have AC terminals). Inexpensive, and despite the bunny blue control (which is NOT used), it will do the job.

E-z Track
It may not look realistic but Bachmann Snap-Fit E-Z Track is way to go Fast and Simple Just stay with the 18' RADIUS and get plenty of partial pieces. For accessories (Lights, Signals and Turnouts) buy a used computer power supply and some Toggle Switches (not Mini).
