Worth it!
Works fairly well but will come lose so check before putting much weight on it, to make sure the suction hasn't loosen. All you need to do is release the clamp and reapply, and this can be done even if you are setting in the tub it doesn't take any excess pressure on your part. I use my to help me balance and stand to get out of the tub , I have another upright hand bar on the outer edge of the tub, between the two I am able to apply my weight to lift and in general this says it is for balancing and not so much left for excessive weight but it seems to be able to take my weight along with the other bar. This was a fair price.

Be cautious.
Check before each use to make sure it is still adhered to the wall.

Not Compatible With 4" tiles
When going through reading reviews for grab-bar type things I was a bit worried because of there being so many mixed reviews. These had slightly better reviews and I thought with the flexibility that surely I would be able to find some position to make them work on my 4" tiles. Unfortunately I was wrong - regardless of what position I put it in, it's simply impossible to have all 3 suction cups wholly on 4" tiles. There's one somewhat obscure angle I can have it at where 2 suction cups adhere so that's what I'm going with, but I regret assuming the flexibility would guarantee these would work for me. These are more sturdy and have better adhesion than most. On a completely flat surface these would probably be fantastic, they're just not as adaptable as they're made out to be.

Questionable.
Bought two. One worked much better than the other, the other seemed to lose grip every other day, the "good" one would hold on for weeks on end. I resealed each one daily just to be sure but not cool. Not cool to grab one to steady myself without much weight on it (maybe 30 pounds, maybe) and it just fell off the wall. After resealing each time this wasn't an issue. Be safe, reseal. Don't trust these to hold much at all and I wouldn't use these if any kind of serious injury is trying to be avoided. I used strictly to keep my balance while showering after a minor knee surgery but only because I had two and because I was healing fast and didn't need them long. Be very careful with these.

A must for seniors, especially if taking a shower involves stepping in and out of a tub.
This shower grab bar is adequately sized and well made. Our shower is made from cultured (i.e., man-made) marble and has a glass-like surface. The adhesion is excellent in terms of suction. I do not have a sense yet of how long the suction will hold the bar in place without renewing the suction. While another grab bar (different brand) we have in the master bath shower does occasionally need its suction refreshed by releasing and resetting suction, it's worth noting that not all three cups will lose their vacuum at the same time. So if one appears loose, reset them all. Many weeks, even months, may pass before resetting suction is required. This "Saf-er-grip" bar is installed in the guest bath, which has a tub, not a walk-in shower stall, and getting in and out is much safer and easier with the grab bar.

Good for quick fix
Works ok. Make sure you check it before each bath or shower. We need to re-set ours often but when it works it works!

Excellent! Works great!
Purchased 2 of these for the inside of a tub/ shower surround. The shower surround is made from swanstone which is smooth/ flat without grout and the suction cups stick very well. No movement. Very sturdy, give enough support and you do not have to drill holes. Both an occupational therapist and physical therapist said that these were not appropriate for a patient if they require pulling one’s body weight up using these handles. This was not the case in our situation. Unfortunately we first tried putting in the permanent shower handles which require making some huge 3/4 inch holes for the wing-it’s or wall anchors hardware to support body weight. Our walls did not have enough space for the wall anchors, so the install failed and we have some big ugly holes to cover up. Try these first and see if they work out. These elbow type rails are really customizable to your needs. I have heard that the suction rails do not work well on tile because of grout lines. I have not tested these on tile, just an FYI.

The bloody thing works.
I am Senior and used the screw type bars, but I don't need to pull with my weight, I just need something for balance stepping in and out, I never trusted suction type before, but this works, I highly recommend it, Pay attention now, don't use for lifting, use for balancing yourself stepping in and out of the tub. Installation instructions, Line the cups where you want it, do the middle one first, but, press the corners to get a firm hold, then lock, the cup Wiggles, stop it from wiggling, the force to attach increases. Understood? Then do the others the same way.

A big help!!!
I bought these for my father who now needs assistance do to weakened muscles from a lengthy hospital stay. He loves they grab bars. They help him steady himself while in the shower and assist in getting in and out. So far, after 8 days, the suction is just as strong as when it was put on. Just make sure the cups are wet when sticking it on the wall. Very pleased!!! ****UPDATE**** After a month and a half since installation, the suction on this product is still holding strong!!! Great product!!!

Good purchase.
Extreme suction very good that way : but there is no way to get all 3 suction points onto a tile at the same time with the tiles I have maybe 3x3. Even without the end one on suction I still use it to pull myself up in the bath and the other 2 points hold me. I am almost 200 lbs.

Don't put your whole weight on this!
What a sheer godsend! I feel I am so much safer in the shower/bathtub. However, don't put all of your weight on this, it doesn't seem like it's meant to do that only use for steadying you not for gripping all of your weight on it. Suction is great only when you clean tile surface well and wet the suction cup before installation. Much Better suction on flat tile only, not over grouting or textured tile. I LOVE the size of it and it's versatility!!!
