Tear easily
The concept of being on a large roll is amazing but they do tear easily at the perforations.

Nice strong bags and no roll to fumble with
These are strong poop bags and easy to grab just a couple at a time. I find this dispenser more convenient than the little rolls of poop bags.

They do the job.
They work.

best bags ever
These are great bags to use for picking up your dog's poo. They dispense easily from the roll. They are large enough if you get behind in cleaning up the backyard. They are also easy to tie to your leash so that you have one handy when needed.

Kitty litter cleaner upper
I use them to clean the kitty litter box. Love that they're biodegradable (why use non biodegradable plastic bags for animal poop?!). Plus, they're huge! Perfect size for the big clumps you get scooping. Highly recommend for both dogs and cats.

Best Poo Bags!!
These are definitely the best poo bags I’ve ever used, and they are big enough for my 70lb dog’s boom booms!

Best Bags Ever
These bags are large, strong and easy to open. Takes a little longer to get them but worth it.

If you have a huge dog…
I’ve become a tad obsessed with reading reviews for virtually everything I buy these days. More often than not, they’re conflicting and often leave me more confused than when I started! Here’s my honest, not paid for, genuine review as the owner of a HUGE (52kg) dog! To be honest, the fact that these are made from 40% recycled materials wasn’t a draw for me - it’s just a bonus. What I wanted was LARGE and STRONG bags with tie handles. Trust me, when you’ve got a large dog you need capacity but, more importantly, strength! I know I’m picky but I like the reassurance that my finger won’t poke a hole through! I have tried loads of different brands, all claiming to be big and strong but, ultimately, they failed on both counts. It’s all relative of course… if you have a chihuahua, a massive bag is probably enough for 3 Brussel sprouts… I need bags big enough to hold a small chihuahua!! :) These bags are perfect! They ARE strong, they ARE big and I’m a very happy bunny :) NB. Please don’t put chihuahuas in them

Greenwashing! Not biodegradable.
I bought these bags because of the number of high ratings and their supposed green credentials. For a while I felt rather smug that I'd found seemingly super strong biodegradable bags. However, I found myself reading the box and was surprised to find no reference to biodegradable. The bags and box are littered with environmentally friendly messages such as 'Love your dog, Love our planet' but very little on how they actually achieve that. On closer inspection it seems their green credentials are limited to the fact that every roll comes on a recycled cardboard core and the outer box is recycled. However, the bags which make up the bulk of this product, and are the reason for buying it, are made from PE (Polyethylene) which is definitely not biodegradable. Don't be fooled like me. Beco do make a home compostable version which is made of cornstarch but to be honest I am reluctant to purchase anything further from a company like Beco which takes advantage of time pressed consumers by making their products appear to be environmentally friendly when they are anything but.

The only brand I will use
Having a medium size dog and going on 8+ mile walks I require a poop bag that is durable and won't rip or tear if I don't have a dog bin for miles. Responsible owners clean up after their dogs, should carry a used bag to the proper disposal bin even if it means carrying it through wooded paths for five miles. I've never had a Beco bag rip on me.

Decrease in quality
I’ve bought these bags before and been very happy with them. This batch however is a different story. The bags are extremely difficult to detach from the roll, two hands are needed. Some bags are ripping, even when only pulling on the perforated line leaving the bags unusable. I wouldn’t buy these again as the quality has changed. Unfortunately I bought a lot of rolls. Edited to add a lot of the rolls are totally unusable with hand going straight through. Would not recommend and will not buy again.

The meaning of biodegradable...
I had wondered because I came across an eco-friendly advice site that said that the word "Biodegradable" was not a controlled word so anyone can put it on anything and there is no regulation to maintain the meaning implied by "biodegradable". So I went on a hunt and found this: "It's a confusing mix of degradable, biodegradable, corn starch, oxo-biodegradable, exo-biodegradable - the list goes on... and there's no such thing as an eco-friendly bag of dog poop, no matter what the bag's made of! There is no definitive answer. Amongst other things, it depends where it's going to end up. Your local authority's web site should tell you if they are using landfill or incineration."
