Pool cover

I bought the mesh cover for my 18' pool,ez to install, I have had cover on all winter and fall ,has not blown off my pool, I do use my handheld skimmer to remove leaves and debris from cover, my pool water is very clear.I think that n my humble opinion this is a good product for your pool !!

Finally a cover that’s big enough

Have had our 24’ above ground pool now for 28 seasons. It has a large top rail. Have ordered these covers many times (they normally say 27’ round) and not uncommon to get them and they don’t fit or are not cut in a good circle or with fraying seams. This cover’s seems appeared good and plenty of overhang to cover. We get 1 to 2 years normally out of these covers with wind whipping them, so we will see how it holds up. I do wish they’d put double the amount of grommets for the binder though. Even if it cost a little more due to that (or make that an option to buy with double the grommets), it would really help with keeping the cover from flapping in the wind. If they had the double grommets ever 12”, would make a HUGE improvement!

It works

Pros: 1) Easy to install, even with 1 person if absolutely necessary. 2) It does keep leaves and tiny debris from going through. Cons: 3) It holds water; doesn't drain through unless it is NOT touching the water, which is impossible unless you blow up so many pillows to put underneath that it covers the entire surface first. You have to siphon the water off the top before you can remove it. It takes at least 2 people to remove it, because of this, and it takes a very long time. Water does not seep through easily. It is extremely heavy even after siphoning what can be siphoned. 2) Algae grows on it therefore cleaning it is virtually impossible. It turns white and crusty. After hours of scrubbing it, it still isn't clean. (see attached pictures) 3) Cover is brittle, and we have used it only 1 season. It also already has holes in it. (see attached pictures) 4) The seam at the outer part is already starting to come apart. You touch one of the hanging pieces and the weave starts to unravel (see attached pictures) 5) It blows off easily even after tightening the cord as tight as it will go, and believe me, my husband is a strong man, so we had to use clamps to hold it down. I read another review and it is true that the warranty is ridiculous. Packaging it and sending it back for a partial refund is not a problem, but paying the shipping for it, that's poor customer service, since it states there is an 8-year warranty. Basically, you use it for 1 season, loses half its value, so risk using it a second season, and it is worthless. For the price of it, it'd be worth it just paying for a cheaper one, using clamps to hold it down, and then buying another cheap one year after year. It's more economical.

Liked it till it tore

I liked that the water doesn’t weight it down. But it got torn by the strong winds this spring . Still I’ll try it again

No puddles on top of the cover

The last photo is the previous cover that would not stay on, collected water on top of the cover and eventually sank to the bottom of the pool. Pooling continued even after I poked a few drain holes. The big test just happened. We get down pours of rain here in central Arkansas. I immediately went out to check for pooling of water on top of the cover. There was none. I engineered the overflow to drain away from the pool. We also get high winds. So I created bags I which I put bricks to weight the cover down enough. Looks like I will have little preparation efforts come April.

Great cover

We have an 18’ round, above ground pool, in which we purchased the next size bigger. Although the cover is a lot bigger than we probably needed, we think it works well and we don’t mind tucking the extra material. It doesn’t get extremely cold here in Coastal North Carolina but we do get some rain and ice storms. We will see how this cover holds up over the next few months. So far, so good!!!

DO NOT BUY!!

If I could give zero stars I would! Terrible quality actually came with gaffe tape covering the holes. It was clearly second hand. Absolutely disgusted. Arm on tensioner was even broken and rusty.

Trop étanche pour moi.

Pas ce que je souhaitais. La percolation est TRÈS lente. C’est tissé serré. Ce loin d’un filet à feuille. Donc, attendez vous à avoir le poids de l’eau et les feuilles qui baignent dans l’eau. Pour ma part, je cherchais quelque chose qui me permet de retirer les feuilles facilement à la fin de l’automne. Ne peut pas être suspendu, donc pas possible de laisser dans les airs et soufffler les feuilles. Pas essayer, mais seulement à l’ouvrir et mettre un peu d’eau dessus, je sais que ce n’est pas pour moi. Retourné à Amazon.

Easier to install than I thought (UPDATE)

So this is an update to the previous review. We have had this cover on the pool for two winters now and it is still working perfectly and is still in good shape. We put it on in the fall and remove it in the spring. Makes starting the pool so much more easier. The only problem is when taking off the cover it takes forever for the water to drain through so we used a simple drill pump to remove the water on top of the cover before having to remove it. I would highly recommend this cover! Previous review: The pros: Sizing is great. Installation was quite easy since the cover kinda floats on the pool. The included wire fits easily in the grommets and ties down the cover securely. I will update once we have gone through one of our rough Canadian winters to see how well this held up. The cons: The warranty. Although it's an 8 year warranty the value goes down fairly quickly (50% after 1st year). You also have to ship the used cover back and prepay the shipping for the replacement cover making any return cost prohibitive after 1 year.

Good for any time of year!

Works well. The leaves stay pretty dry on top of the cover as the water seeps right through. Putting it on is easy as it floats on the water but stays dry at the same time. Seems like it would be susceptible to snags as it almost happen to me. I’ll be using it all spring/summer long. During the pool season, I put it on before a windy, rainy day, take it off on the nice ones and leave solar blanket. Haven’t used it over winter yet.

Took a beating this winter, and did its job!

I purchased this in the fall and wanted to wait till spring to give a review. I'm very happy with this pool cover! We had a crazy winter with lots of wind and a ton of snow and thus stayed put. It only came off a bit on one side due to the weight of the ice and snow. I just went out when everything started to melt and put the small area that came off back on. We even had a 100km an hour wind storm not long ago and it stayed put. We just removed it today and the pool is nice and clean!
