Beautiful and Function; Well Made

I selected this bowl/stand on a whim, thinking it would be handy and functional at the same time. I have had mixed results with wooden bowls in the past so I wasn't sure if this one would be a quality item or just functional. Fortunately, it has proven to be better than I expected. The listing says that this is made of mango wood. I have never seen anything made of mango wood before so this was a first for me. In summary, it's beautiful. The grain is very pretty and it almost looks rippled in places though it is sanded and polished smooth. Visually this is a very attractive item. This is a functional cake stand and will work for cakes smaller than 12" diameter, but it serves well as a shallow fruit bowl which is how we're using it in our house. It will also work well as a bread basket, though it is a little shallow in that regard. I looked this over for any defects and really didn't find any. There are no pits or gouges in the wood, the finish is smooth and the sanding is even. More importantly, this bowl is balanced properly and goes not wobble or tip when set on a flat surface. The base is on tight and the whole is stable. Overall, I have no complaints at all with this bowl/stand and am happy to recommend it. It's a beautiful item that not only works well but is well made.

Very well made!

I am very impressed with the quality of this cake stand. It is great for displaying food at a party and I plan on finding a glass lid to use it for storing baked goods on the counter. It has great function and looks beautiful. It would be good for putting decorative items on as well in a kitchen or entry way as well.

Pretty tray

I like this wood cake stand. Mine looks just like the one pictured. Nice weight and well made. Soft stickers on the bottom to protect your table or counter. I think it's a little overpriced for has basic it is, but it is very nice.

This review is for the Bloomingville Round Natural Mango Wood Footed Cake Stand Bowl. Very pretty wooden stand bowl that is well-made. It has a medium wood finish, very smooth feel, lots of natural wood grain throughout that gives it visual interest and character, and is both decorative and functional. It has a low profile for a stand bowl, which I prefer, sitting on a stable base with 3 protective pads underneath to protect table tops. While it is described as a “Cake Stand”, it can be used for many other purposes, including as a fruit bowl, condiments stand, paper plates, and so on. Very versatile, decorative, and looks great in a rustic or Farmhouse décor.
