Quality I was looking for

The size and fit for these bowls were perfect. Our Portuguese Water Dog was able to easily drink and eat from them while in his kennel. He likes to chew plastic and I am happy he does not try to chew these sturdy bowls.

Doesn't stay tight

Easy to install but it needs rubber between the locking mechanism & the bowl, doesn't stay tightened down so we're always having to redo them so they don't turn sideways & spill the water. Other than that it's a great product!

Does not fit on Petmate Skykennel 48inch

We have the Petmate Sky Kennel 48inch and wanted to get a water bowl for it, but this one does not fit. The two holes (funnel) where you are supposed to be able to fill in water through from outside are too close together. Therefor the wires from the door do not fit in between them. Water spills allover the place if you would wanna fill from outside cuz it doesn’t fit properly. It looks and feels like good quality and sturdy, but will unfortunately have to return it.

Better than metal

I wish the back plate were longer as the bowl tends to hang at an angle off the kennel. It can be difficult to find the threads when bent over trying to attach it. The cats highly prefer it to a metal bowl.

Really easy to fill but flawed design

The bowl makes it so easy to fill from the outside. But how it's designed it's clearly supposed to go around one of the Kennel wires. We have one of the super standard wire kennels and it doesn't fit around the wire. You therefore have to fasten it in one of the open spots of the Kennel which means the puppy can turn it or flip it because you can't get the thumb turn tight enough by hand. Overall, this has been great to give my puppy water in the Kennel but a really simple product adjustment would make it great. Right now it's a bit floppy and a mess but still better than other products on the market that require you to open the crate to fill.

Does what it's supposed to

The large bowls are not that large. Might hold 20 ounces. Holds enough food for the day, but not sure about enough water for longer waits in the kennel. Overall, good enough so my dog doesn't keep spilling water in the kennel.

Awesome water bowl! It helped stop our puppy from knocking over his water bowl during the day!! Would recommend to anyone with a puppy!!

Rubbish

Very small tea cup in picture for comparison and this was the large size. Plastic Very brittle and in 2 days broke as also shown in picture.

I like this bowl BUT...

It's not perfect. A bit finicky to get on properly. It is sturdy and stays on well. Best for very small dogs. I am currently using it for my dwarf bunny. She drinks a lot of water and I gotta fill this at least once a day. I'm thinking of getting another bowl though. This one is starting to leak when I pour water from the outside holes. I have similar bowls and they go on no problem. This one seems to have some issues. There's a gap between the plate and the bowl itself that I can't get rid of sometimes. All in all good for the price. Not a long term solution for me.

It's okay...

It was not as easy to install as I had thought. The part that goes outside the crate to allow you to pour water is really tight and barely fits on the crate. We have a very standard crate so I dont think it's just that it is not compatible. The spouts that pour water into the bowl are so short that the water basically just pours all over the inside of the crate- not much gets in the bowl. As a bowl that attaches to the crate, it works, which is really all I needed. But the feature of being able to pour the water from outside of the crate is useless.

Thin plastic but sturdy. Not for chews.

Pretty thin plastic that might break if your animal moves a lot in the kennel. After tightening the bowl to our kennel it seems very sturdy. It is very easy to remove and clean. Edit: If your dog chews while in the kennel then you will have to find another bowl. This will not hold up to a dog that chews. A truely kennel trained dog should not chew in the kennel though.

Good but...

This will work for my older dog who doesn't chew but not my puppy. Essentially, I bought this for my new puppy's kennel because I have a similar version for my older dog. Unlike the one I already had, the edge around this bowl sticks out enough that my puppy chewed on it and cracked off little pieces of plastic. Puppy is fine and I switched the bowls, putting this one in my older dog's kennel as she isn't a chewer like that. Definitely base your decision whether to buy this on your dog's habits and probably not for a puppy just to be safe.
