Outrageously expensive

This main jet for the B&S/Nikko carb costs an obscene $15.53(!!!!!!!). There is no reason in this universe why this tiny lump of brass and rubber should cost almost $16. And I cannot fathom why the cheapskates at B&S do not include it in the B&S/Nikko carb rebuild kit ...which itself runs about $30. Unlike all metal carbs that use a threaded mount for the main jet, the half-plastic Nikko carb main jet is a friction fit with the integral rubber gasket providing both sealing and retention. Bottom line: you can install the $30 rebuild kit and still not have a well running engine; if the gasket on this jet has deteriorated and is leaking the engine will run excessively rich. Installation of this jet, plus a rebuild kit, plus a new retention spring had my chipper up and running fine. I have serious doubts as to the longevity of these cheaply and poorly designed components and B&S/Nikko carb.

Works well, as expected, to rebuild a snowblower carb.

Good part. Used it with a carb rebuild kit to bring my snowblower back to full life. It fits well and works well. It would have been nice if this was bundled in a full carb kit but it worked out regardless.
