Amazing
I live in the DC (VA) area and recently the chlorine taste has been awful. This filter is great. I did have issues installing it — so with the help of my dad we installed it to the frigs ice maker line as the other person did in the reviews here. In addition to the T, we also installed a stopper so I wouldn’t have to climb under the sink if I need to turn off the water to change the filters.

No need for an electrical plug.
I love it. Very small and effective. The water taste great. Hooks up easily.

perfect for newer LA apts
The water in LA tastes awful! And getting a permanent system for our apts is not that easy, so this countertop version helps. If you aren't lucky enough to live in a luxury highrise that filters the water for you, then I think this is your next best bet on a budget. I attached this to a T-joint under the sink because I did not have an extra opening by the faucet. Obviously, I can't drill one out in a rental. The water taste from the faucet vs this system was like night and day to me. Listen, your expectation should not be a complete RO or 10-level filter system. For LA water, it's all treated; it's just the water tastes gross, so this system does what it needs for taste and then some.

Removes Foul Taste!
I'm sure many of you who are looking at this have already given the cheaper filters a try. I'd gone through 4 different models of filters before I finally decided it was time to purchase a higher-tier filter. And let me tell you, this one does not disappoint. In fact, I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. The water source for my town is a foul-smelling lake which also is open to the public for recreation. It is the furthest thing from "fresh water." By the time my local water has gone through the city filtration, it also has a noticeably high level of chlorine. So with my water, everything is working against me. Instead of drinking a healthy amount of water everyday, the undesirable taste of the water usually meant I wouldn't drink enough during the day. This filter FINALLY fixed my problem. The water that goes in this filter on one end is completely different from the water that comes out through the spout. I would describe the taste of this water as "nothing." Just pure water, that's it! I love being able to have a nice cup of water again as compared to bottled water from the store. From my limited research, this appears to be the next best thing after Reverse Osmosis. From the CDC's website, there's a description of multiple filters and their function. The filter in this tri-filter assembly that caught my attention was the nanofilter. Nanofilter technology has a pore size of about .001 micron. The next step up, reverse osmosis, has filters with a pore size of .0001 micron. The difference is what you make it. Nanofiltration and Reverse osmosis are extremely effective at reducing protozoa, viruses, and bacteria. The only notable difference is nanofiltration is not quite as good at removing chemicals, but it still fares batter than every other option besides reverse osmosis (or distillation). The first filter (composite) and third (carbon) also help to ensure longevity and good taste. The benefit this has over RO, and the reason I chose it, is because it's extremely simple to set up (and remove). If you're renting a space and are not allowed to drill holes under your sink for an RO system, this is the best alternative. The last note I'll make is that you'll most likely have to guide your guests through getting a glass of water, otherwise they may end up leaving the water running for a few hours. There's a learning curve of about 10 seconds, but then your guests will understand the system and will keep the faucet off when not in use! So if you can't stand the taste of your water, give this a try. If your water conditions are similar to, or not as bad as mine, then this filter should hopefully improve the taste. It worked for me!

Happy with the purchase at this time
The unit came pre loaded with a set of filters. It's required that you screw the adapter WITH the black rubber gasket on to the faucet threads and insert one end of the supplied tube. Push the tube in and it's locked. On the system base, where you need to insert the other end of the tubing, there's a little grey plug seated in a white elbow with a tiny white collar. You must push down on the collar and pull back back on the that little grey plug in order to remove. This is not indicated in the manual and I had to call their customer service to get that nugget of knowledge, thus minus 1 star. The CS rep was courteous and not condescending about it. I let water run through the system to bleed air and vent any particle, the water has no smell or taste that I can discern. I wish the unit was taller in order to put larger water bottles under, but I can find a stand for it. Due to the weight the unit is very stable. The hose is long enough to move the unit away from the sink basin. The connection and valve at the faucet works fine, no leaking. The switch on the top works fine, makes a small click sound. If you forget to switch OFF on the top and you also neglect to switch the valve at the faucet, and turn the water on, you will flood your counter top! **UPDATE** I changed all three filters earlier this year. Keep this in mind. When you receive the new filters, pull the top of the unit off and look for the little wrench that is tucked away. Remove that and use it to open the plastic collars at each of the filter connections, just use as a pry bar. When plugging in the new filters you may need a little "wiggle persuasion" to disconnect or add the hoses but don't worry, you can't break it. Seat the new filters, plug in the hoses ALL THE WAY and re seat the collars. Put the wrench back in to the molding and put the top back in place. BAM done. Figure 5 to 10 minutes total. Each new filter comes with a sticker you can use to indicate some future reminder to replace. Or just use one of them.

Brondell H2O+
This is a superior product by far. The instructions were clear, so the installation was simple and quick. It's a fairly small unit, yet quickly provides lots of water, and the water quality is simply excellent. I live in an apartment building, which supplies town water, and now my water no longer contains black flakes or the horrible smell and taste of chlorine. JCormier

High quality
I bought it again. After two years in my first Brondell broke the button. But I love this filter so much and ordered again with set of new cartridges. I impressed with quality and it has nice design. It is also very important. You can easily install, just should read the instruction carefully.

Need some improvement
I don't notice any sweet taste from the filtered water, it just tastes pure water, perhaps it's a good thing. A few things I don't like about: 1) the plastic tubing is too stiff to bend around the counter top; 2) the provided washers don't fit my Moen faucet very well, end up little water oozes out when I turn on faucet each time. I even buy a thin washer, it makes no difference. No sure if this happens to other faucets; 3) wish there's an indicator on each individual filter tank to show if the filter needs to be changed rather than we have to calculate the volume of water we have filtered manually.

very poor quality
I bought it a few weeks ago. I have 2 different TDS meters to check the quality and purity of the water and the filtration. The result of measuring the water in this filter is very similar to the measurement of the water that comes directly from the tap. Therefore, it does not matter to drink water from the tap or from the Brondell unit. After several months of use, the button for dispensing water no longer works.
