Favorite tap shoe
My daughter does competitive dance and loves this tap shoe just enough click on the floor

Loose tap shoe
The elastic on the sides provides a much looser fit when dancing than preferred. My heel slides a lot more than I would prefer. Otherwise the shoe fits and provides clear sounds.

Better than I expected
Fits quite well, true to size, without socks. I normally don't wear socks with my dance shoes so this shoe fit quite well. I don't like any kind of slack in my shoe or a sloppy fit and this shoe met my expectations. I ordered my street shoe size (6). I could wear a very thin sock underneath. Good flexibility in the shoe and I'm very happy with it. Good price too.

Great shoes need a great dancer!!
I am a guy with long, narrow feet. Buying shoes in a shoe store is NOT part of my life. When I signed up for tap class (a first for me) I was worried about finding shoes. But then I remembered that I had found Capezio jazz shoes that fit well. I looked for Capezio tap shoes that were similar and these were and are just what I needed. Not sure whey I got into my sixth decade before I learned that 10 1/2 men's translates to 12 1/2 women's size -- and the women's are narrow enough for me. Anyway, these are terrific shoes -- and I did not fall down in my first class, which is an extra recommendation. I am wearing them without socks (which is how I wore jazz shoes) and they are very comfortable that way.

Great sound and comfortable. Order at least a half size bigger.
Brought these for my ever growing 12 yr old. We have a hard time because she grows so fast. She wears a street shoe size 10.5 and I got her an 11.0. I wish I had got a 11.5 for growing room. They fit well now, with a smidge of wiggle room. Taps sound great! She says they are very comfortable too!

THE REAL DEAL
I GOT A GREAT DEAL AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE A BIT TOO TIGHT ACROSS THE TOP OF MY FOOT, IF I WOULD HAVE WENT TO A 6 THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO BIG. I GOT THEM IN A MATTER OF A COUPLE OF DAYS AND WAS ABLE TO WEAR THEM FOR THE CLASS I JOINED, NOW IF YOU COULD JUST MAKE SURE I CAN LEARN IT WOULD BE GREAT, NOT ASKING YOU TO PERFORM MIRACLES REALLY, JUST KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. VERY SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE AND WITH AMAZONS SERVICE

Good student tap shoe.
These are great shoes. They are narrow so not good if you have wide feet but worked good for my daughter. Since they were narrow we could get away with getting them a little big to fit her longer without them being sloppy. Unlike other dance shoes the length of these run the same as street shoes so do not order up unless you are buying for a kid that will grow into them. They have good sound. I would like them better if they were a little more flexible but they might become more flexible with wear.

Size up!
Way to small do size up 1 full size or more. We sized up 1 full size and still doesn’t fit . Have to return !

Couldn’t ask for a better flex style tap shoe.
Fits the same as street shoes. I have slightly narrow feet and the width is perfect. Easy to slip on and off. Very flexible, soft leather; almost no break-in time. Excellent sound, as always from Teletone taps. Great quality, as expected from Capezio. Quite comfortable; no rubbing or blisters as they are lined with fabric, and have a rolled edge and “V” cutout on the heel. I’m a bit worried that they may become too big after wearing and stretching, but I’ll add a thicker insole if needed. Couldn’t ask for a better tap shoe, exactly what I expected.

One size up for Jazz shoes and true size for Tap.
I purchased Jazz and tap shoes of Capezio both at size 8 for my daughter. I read reviews before my purchase and most people said the size is same as the running shoes. However, I had to return the Jazz shoes as they are about one size down. The size of Tap shoes are fine, same as the running shoes.

Not true to size.
I felt like Cinderella's step-sisters, trying to put these on. After a lot of struggling I got one foot in. I couldn't get my other foot into the other shoe - probably spent all my energy with the first one! Maybe a shoe horn would have helped? The one foot that got in felt tight, and I'm guessing the leather will stretch, but I think I need to go up a size. UPDATE: I can get my feet into these, with a struggle, and they're tight. The length is right, but they pinch my feet. After dancing a couple minutes my feet ache. No arch support. No cushion.
