Worth it even for a penny pincher

I love giving cards, but I hate spending a lot of money on them- honestly I buy most of mine at dollar stores for $0.50 or $1. I find that people who are sentimental and save cards enjoy $0.50 cards just as much as $7 cards, and as for people who don't save cards, what is the point of spending all that money on something that is going to be thrown away?I'd rather put that extra money into the gift, or give it to charity. So when this card popped into my browser, I almost just breezed past it without consideration. But then I realized, that this would be a fantastic substitution to flowers for my mom as part of her gift. She loves flowers, but unfortunately her sneaky cat always eats them no matter how careful she tries to be, so she has to first of all discard anything that could be toxic to cats and then place it someplace out of reach which is also incidentally out of sight. cardboard flowers may not be as good as real ones, but at least she could set them out where she could see them, and that would make her happy not just because they are pretty, but for the reminder that her family loves her. So with that thought in mind, I was willing to pay the steep price. When I opened the package, however, I realized that the price was well worth it, because this card is a miniature piece of art. It really is. My mom will love it so much, and she will probably display it all year. The pictures do not do it any justice. Everything about this- the colors, the multi-layer pop up design, the thickness of the paper- screams quality. And it's just very pretty to look at. I'd highly recommend this card for anyone who saves cards.

Beautiful Card!

My mom loves flowers and we try to buy her real ones for her birthday or Mother's Day. But on a budget I bought this card. SHE LOVED IT! It is a stunning card and one she'll keep. She actually said it is her preferred way to get flowers now.

Glitter

The media could not be loaded. The card is alright but doesn’t easily stay open. I did pinch the sides after a while and got to to stay open but was hoping for something that was easier since my mother enjoys nitpicking things. Also the card is covered in glitter which I didn’t see mentioned in the description… My mom loves to complain about glitter so I would have chosen a different card had I known. Still sending it to her though.

Before I wrote this review, I first looked at the reviews that were 1, 2 and 3 star reviews. There was a common connection. Number 1: When you open up the card to get it to stand up, put a little pressure at the bottom of the card. At the bottom of the card underneath the vase press upward to make it pop. Number 2: The height is not very big, but it is not small either. It is larger than the palm of my hand. The card is just a little smaller than a water bottle. Order this. It costs less than real flowers that will die. This can sit on a desk for a time to last. I can't get everyone flowers or a gift, but for $6.00, I know I will put a smile on the face of the receivers. Happy Mother's Day.

Beautiful card, but...

This is such a pretty card, but it was not easy to figure out how to make it stand straight & sit flat after it was open. I worked at it for quite a while and finally figured it out, but some of the ladies to whom I am sending it may find it a bit tricky. So, I included a note that says, "Put 2 thumbs under bottom at crease and push up while pushing down with fingers on both sides of the top edge of the cup. It will then sit flat." If you don't do this, the card will rock back and forth when open. Again, it IS a very pretty card, but could be frustrating for some recipients.

A Very Pretty Card

I don't usually, never actually, pay this much for a card, but sent it as a Mother's Day greeting to my Aunt who is 100+. The card is pretty, cheery and well made, but rather hard to open - no instructions.

I bought this & a similar 1 for my mom & mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. I normally get/send flowers but they never last long & other siblings get the same thing. They both LOVE the card & still keep it display in their homes!
