Works great
Got this for the vibrating alarm function which works great!

Excellent and cheap watch
I got initially it for the vibration alarm to help me wake up in the morning without disturbing my wife. But honestly it is such a good and so far durable watch that I’ve ended up wearing it most of the time.

Still working great!
I've been wearing it for years now and I'm rough on watches. Still working like new!

Too large for my wrist
Nice watch just too large for my wrist. Honestly hurts after a while of wearing it. Has a lot of feature but a little complicated to set up. The vibrating alarm isn’t strong enough to wake you up but does the basic job I needed for military training.

Great Watch!
The original is still running after 6 years. The band broke. It was more cost effective to get a new watch than a new band! Buy this watch while it is still available! I have numerous luxury watches. This is always my first choice to wear!

Great Watch - didn't vibrate ME awake, but neither did the Timex equivalent
I love getting up early, and would prefer not to wake my wife (or bunk-mates when I'm camping w guys). A vibration alarm makes sense. So I purchased the Timex T49851 Expedition, along with the Casio equivalent, the W735H-1AVCF. This is a review of both. They are within dollars of one another. LOOKS - Personally I think the Timex looks more modern, more "socially acceptable" if you're inclined to wear it in many situations. The Casio is a great G-Shock-like look. Whatever criteria Casio places upon naming a watch a G-Shock, this watch is not. Still, it looks tough and I would think it is tough enough. WEIGHT - Both watches are lightweight - the new durable resins simply do not require weight for strength. Don't despair over lightweight with either. DISPLAY - The display on the Timex is much larger and all functions are easier to see, although the smaller LCD digits of the Casio are bolder. Still, I prefer the Timex because I never had to squint at little icons or labels. OPERATION AND PROGRAMMING - Both are fine. You fiddle with them, you read a little of the manuals, you'll do fine. The Timex functions with Timex functionality, the Casio with Casio functionality. I do prefer the Casio's instant changeover to another function when you press a button. The Timex will, for example, display "CHRONO" and then go into the chrono mode. No biggee. ALARMS AND FEATURES - The Timex has more, so many more in fact that you have the option to hide some of them (which I did, although I still kept more readily available than were offered on the Casio). WAKING YOU UP - They differ here. The Casio beeps (or vibrates, OR COMBINATION) - and the vibration is 7 vibrations, and the beep is pretty loud. The Timex (I returned it, so I am speaking from recent memory) vibrates 5 times and then a short while later (sort of like a reminder) vibrates 5 times again. I do not think the Casio provides for a combination vibrate/beep event. Another point to note is that on the Timex in combo mode, the vibration goes off first, giving you a chance to awake and shut it off prior to the beeping (waking maybe you and folks around you). FRUSTRATION FOR ME - I sleep like an appliance unplugged from the wall. I wore both watches to sleep (different nights, and/or set them for different times). NEITHER successfully woke me (by vibration only) out of a sound sleep. There's a new Casio being offered (more costly) called the GD350. It has a vibration alarm. I do not expect it to be a whole lot more vibration-effective than this Casio, which I returned. Perhaps I am wrong in that expectation. I do still like the potential to quietly vibrate me into some notification DURING THE DAY, when I am around folks, so the vibration alarm remains a nice feature, on either watch. BATTERY LIFE - Here's where the Casio wins hands-down. The Casio tells us it has a TEN YEAR battery. I LOVE that! The Timex is likely a year or two or three, depending upon how many times you ask it to vibrate, beep, etc. Ten years is a wonderful thing for a watch battery, and if longevity of function is your priority, the Casio wins hands-down. BTW - the new Casio GD350 says the battery is good for 5 years. Still pretty excellent. All of the watch instructions tell you battery life is based upon usage of function. MY BOTTOM LINE - I am wearing the Timex. I returned the Casio. They are both great watches. I still wish a vibrating alarm watch could wake ME up, but likely it would need to be 110 volt-powered, plugged into the wall, activating a kitchen blender motor strapped to my wrist.

Great Value and All I Need
This is my 3rd watch of this exact model and I love it. Easy to read display with a very nice light button. I have never had an issue with water and I never take it off to swim, waterski or wash vehicles. I use the countdown timer features when I work out at the gym. Love the vibrate/no sound options for this. The only issue I've ever had is that the watch outlives the band. Specifically, the small rubber band that holds the tail of the band beyond the clasp tends to break after a couple of years. I've tried unsuccessfully to replace the band in past (very difficult to install even with small tools) but in the end, the whole watch is only slight more expensive than the band kit so I just replace the whole watch when that happens now. I keep this watch in my Amazon favorites for just that reason. It is a great value for what I need out of my watch.

Great watch for exercise/workouts
I looked and looked for a watch for workouts. I finally found the Casio W735H-1AVCF. I needed a watch to time 30 second intervals -- for stretches and for time between sets. This watch does 30 second increments (or any other increment), and it's easy to repeat the interval. The alarm is reasonably loud, but the great feature is the vibration at the end of the countdown -- you can easily feel it, and it doesn't matter how loud your workout music is -- the vibration doesn't care! You can't have the alarm and vibration together, but for me, the vibration is great.

ALL AS EXPECTED SO FAR

Nice watch, fairly lightweight.
I bought this to replace my Apple Watch 3. It is not a smart watch but I’m retired and don’t need it. So, I’m opting for simplicity. I’m also hard of hearing and the vibration works well. I set it once a day to remind me to take pills. I also have it set up to vibrate at the top of every hour. This is my everyday wear now. I still use  watch for certain things.

Solid. Silent. Versatile.
I bought this W735H watch for mainly the count down timer and vibe alarm, it does not disappoint. The main time screen with two line display is also really clean and easy to read in low light, and the ADJUST button makes each function easy to use, plus the strap is comfortable in general. It does kinda appear like G-Shock but remains bit more understated in all black with white/silver labels. I use the CT and Stop Watch through the day, timing tasks and cooking The vibration alarm is very quiet, lasts/buzzes for 10 seconds and does not wake my wife beside me, but it while is not very strong to wake me from deep sleep, it will work discreetly all other times, like the hour signal. And if used with countdown timer [CT], you can treat it as 2 alarms, CT serving as time limit or pre-alarm, ie sleep 4.5 hours 3 cycles, then set the daily alarm to time near the 4.5h from say :00, :15, :30, :45 min mark.. Highly recommend this model and the few others like it if you value the stealth vibration alarm and countdown mode. Update: 8 months later, holds up well to repeated exposure to isopropyl alcohol (Covid) and bleach water in laundry. Strap is fine so far as well. The mineral glass will scratch but baking soda paste can buff it well enough. Below $40 on sale, this watch is great.

Light is fabulous on this cheap watch.
It’s a pity G Shock watches have dim mat light and this Casio cheap junk watch has excellent illumination……? 10 years battery is another plus for the manufacturer. It can go and go without the end! By the way recently was watching watches for 2022 of Japanese manufacturer also Casio with prices between $500.00 and 1,400.00 CAD…! On three very expensive watches the battery life was 5 months only. Is it not funny…?
