Compact and useful.

It generates less pressure than the many backpack sprayers I've used, but the advantage is that it is easy to be very accurate in application. It is small and lightweight, better suited for storage in the garage and for my property now which is no longer on acreage. Perfectly good for the occasional spot spray which is what I have to do now.

Think Twice it can used with unknown liquid.

I got a used one!!! it still was dripping the unknown pesticides some one used. Do your self a favor buy it directly at chapin store.

Rubber Gasket will not stay in place and can't tell from outside how much liquid is in the canister.

At first this product seemed wonderful, but after using a few times I noticed the rubber gasket kept falling off, sometimes in the can itself when putting the handle on to tighten up. If the gasket is not in place, you will not get a good seal to pump up the canister to spray. The few times I did get to use this sprayer, I cleaned all the parts after each spray running clean water thru the jet tip. This did not stop the tip from clogging however and I thought since everything was brass it would last longer. I am disappointed with this purchase as a whole. I was hoping to get many years of service from this sprayer but I think I'll go back to plastic. You can see your liquid in Plastic cans and no issues with gaskets falling off.

Best weed killer container

It took a while to figure out how to pressure the container (the instructions do not show clearly how to unlock the handle), but once I did unlock the handle it was smooth sailing. I like the ease to spraying and the sleek container allows me to store the container outside after I remove the sprayer. Worth the extra dollars and recommend this product for weed control.

Nice sprayer for the money

Hubby had to have a metal sprayer. This one was a nice price. The tips tend to spray too much and as other reviewers have complained about the chemical waste, it was not that big of an issue. First of all, the bug spray was like $0.63 per ounce. You need 2-4 ounces mixed in a gallon of water to mix it up. You are not losing that much money on chemical. Second, We called the manufacturer and they sent us a different tip for free. Also, we are saving $280 a year now that we are doing our own bug spraying, so the chemical waste that could possibly occur is still way less than what we were spending on services before. I have used less than $5 in chemical for the past year and a half now versus $70 per quarter on the bug guy. I am so OK with that! I would have given this a 5 star if I didn't have to call for a new tip and the carry strap is not really comfortable, but hey, we only use it 2-3x a quarter - tops! Again, no big deal. Bottom line - We love our sprayer and the savings it gave us.

Much better than my old plastic tank

I went through two plastic tanks used for home pesticides and figured I would pay extra for a more professional metal tank. So far, this tank has worked out nicely. The spray is very even and it's very easy to pump. Unlike the old plastic tanks, this one is much better built. The plastic ones would feel like the pump shaft wanted to bend or possibly break as the pressure built up. The brass wand and hardware also won't break like the plastic ones. The reason I'm giving this four stars is the length of the wand could be longer. I'm 6'1" and I have to bend over a bit more than I would like to get the right height off of the floor boards to have it spray correctly. While standing up straight with my arm fully extended, the sprayer head is about 2 inches below my knee. As I learned in a golf shop once, most people's hands are about the same distance from the floor independent of your height, so it's likely to be too short for most users. You can purchase a longer wand or extension here on Amazon, so you may want to purchase one of those as well.

Chapin is one of the best 2 gallon sprayers on the market!!

I invested in the Chapin 2 gallon sprayer after doing some research. The Chapin sprayer is a little pricey, but we’ll worth the investment. I fought the plastic 2 gallon sprayers for years and got tired of fooling with them. I found out about Chaplin through a grounds keeper at an office building I work out of. This guy is a perfectionist and takes care of a two block area around the building. He recommended the Chapin because of its durability and reliability. It is well worth the investment

I'm a little disappointed in the pump quality as it slowly losses air pressure all the time. other than having to pump it up a little more often, it works great. Now I hope it lasts for years.
