Inexpensive, but not "cheap"

First of all, the color of the bag was different than the photo on the page. The bag is almost all black, except for a dark teal behind the outside pockets. I actually prefer these colors to the tan/black bag that was shown in the photo. This bag has a lot of room for the size, which is twelve inches. I am a network administrator, so I do not use very many large tools. The inside of the bag has 12 pockets that hold my screwdrivers. I have some small precision drivers that are so small that up to 4 of them can fit inside one screwdriver pocket. These screwdriver pockets also have a stair-step design (each pocket is taller than the previous pocket) to allow for smaller or larger driver storage. There are three pockets inside that are the same width and height as the 3 outside pockets, which you should be able to see in the product photo (the tan and black bag). The final two inside pockets are the full width of the bag and are not as tight as the other pockets; they are handy for storing various small things like modular plugs or possibly screws. The bag is made of a sturdy material, possibly a heavy vinyl. This material is thick and rough on the outside of the bag and smooth on the inside of the bag. The bag shrinks at the top to form a triangle on the width of the bag upon the closing of the bag. The way it opens kind of reminds me of the old town Doctor's black tool bag that he would bring for a home visit, which you may see in some black and white movies or television shows. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this product. Had I not been so pleased with this purchase, I would not want to take the time to write this review. I paid around $15 for this product and it was well worth it. ------------------------------------ If you have any confusion, let me sum this up for you: Width = the shortest side of the bag Length = the longest side of the bag ---------- Pockets on the inside of the bag: 12 screwdriver pockets along the length of one side 3 pockets along the length of the other side 1 pocket along the width of one side 1 pocket along the width of the other side ---------- Pockets on the outside of the bag: 3 pockets along the length of one side 3 pockets along the length of the other side 0 pockets along the width of either side ---------- Main storage: I only carry around 100' of networking cable with me, but I would be able to fit a few hundred more in it if I wanted to. A 12v drill may fit in this bag, but some of the larger cordless drills may be tight or may not fit. If the height of the bag in the product dimensions is smaller than the length or height of the drill, without the battery, your cordless drill will not fit in this bag.

It fits!

I bought this bag to contain a 2x2 arrangement of 12v 12AH SLA batteries for my ebike for a 48v setup, because it had the appropriate bottom footprint for what I was looking for, and tool bags tend to be constructed with strong fabrics. It indeed has a 8" by 12" bottom without stretching the bag. I haven't tested the bike yet with it's new battery arrangement, but the bag indeed holds them and zips u6p. The handles hold the weight well, and it seems well constructed. My bike rack isn't nearly as wide, so I have an 8"x12" 3/4 inch plywood (which fits neatly in the bottom, no stretching) + a layer of housing foam insulation underneath the batteries to support them. Waiting on the charger to arrive to test the setup for road use, but I was using a 36v with 3x batteries before, so I doubt it'll be much worse. Durability remains to be tested, but the the bag and batteries weigh 36.5 pounds (before it was probably about 27-28 pounds) and the handles feel well capable of lifting it, so I'm sure it would make a fine tool bag =) I am only giving a 4 star rating because I don't know how it will last over time with repeated lifts for charging after road vibration, but it looks damn good right now zipped up holding the 4 sla batteries. For the price it seems like it would hold some tools like a champ. I might even be able to cram the charger on top of it, but dunno about that. So yeah, the bag holds 8" by 12" at the bottom as advertised, has a whole lot of pockets, and is made of a strong canvaslike material =) If you are filling it more than about 4-5 inches of it's height though, be aware that it may not be able to zip up, as it's more of a 'doctor bag' style and has a shorter clearance above about 3-4 inches. I'm not reviewing the inside pockets, as I've basically ignored them...they aren't big tho, probably only good for small tools.

Perfection as mini every day go-bag

Perfect size as my every day carry everything go-bag. Strong construction and looks very cool. Big wide opening makes for fast easy access of everything in the bag. Perfect for my travel under the plane seat bag

Great small tool bag

I recently realized that my boyfriend has essentially claimed my tools, which was a rather large collection of damn near every basic tool out there along with my 9-drawer rolling tool cabinet...I'm fine with this, except between the two of this there is absolutely no organization. Meaning even the simplest task of changing a door handle or - worse yet - trying to change the batteries on our sons toys - takes 20 minutes just to find a freaking screw driver. So I decided to put together a new little collection of tools just for me and this was the perfect sized bag to hold all of that - with room to spare. I'm sure I won't have long till he catches onto it & decides to start using those too (since of course they're much easier to find than anything in the tool cabinet or other various tool bags we have) - but for now I'm rather enjoying the ease of access to the basic tools needed, certainly makes the little things a little easier. At first I didn't like that this zippered shut - I thought it was totally open (more like a tote) - but I've actually come to like the zipper closing. The outside pockets shown in the picture - they're also on the inside too - so you have 6 interior pockets as well, but they're very shallow - which is good since you're less likely to have a drill bit lost to the abyss of the deep pocket that way. The bag is definitely high quality & will withstand some significant abuse...so I'm pleased. Perfect size for someone looking for something small.

Cabe de todo en esta bolsa

Me sorprendió la flexibilidad que tiene esta bolsa de herramientas. Pude acomodar desarmadores, tornillos, un martillo y hasta un taladro. Le cabe todo lo que podría ocupar para realizar reparaciones pequeñas en una casa. El precio fue inmejorable.
