Decent fleece

Nicer looking than in photo. Was looking for a heavy fleece to being a classic raincoat to a full 3 season raincoat suitable for puddle-jumping at 40 degrees for my almost 3yr old, but quality heavy weight fleeces are hard to find at a reasonable price for a toddler. This is not a bad 2nd choice. It is a medium-light fleece, thicker than most of the others and about what I expected, between the pictures and other reviews. Unlike many, this does not seem to be a knockoff. It does smell a little, fresh out of the bag, as you would expect from the material, but I tossed it in the laundry and it is not so bad as to overcome yesterday's "dirty" clothes. I will knock it down to 4 if the smell does not go away in a few washes or if it does not hold up. As for fit, reviews seem to be consistent with others for true Columbia fleeces: a little snug in the forearms and around a half size smaller than expected. My son wears a 3-4T depending on how loose we want it or the brand. 4T tops/jackets tend to fit his shoulders and be long in the sleeves and a little loose in the torso but this fits him perfectly with a thin T shirt and a thin long sleeved shirt. If this works for him, I will buy a second, but a couple sizes up to make sure it matches his raincoat, size-wise.

Even the little guys can sport that Columbia fleece and it's so cute!

Let me just start buy saying, this is the tiniest Columbia fleece I have ever seen and it is so adorable! It is the same high quality as other Columbia fleeces - very soft and warm. I purchased for my 3 month old nephew for Christmas and my sister couldn't get over how tiny and sweet it is. Would definitely buy again!

My son is 4 1/2 months old 16lb and it fix him perfectly even though its 6 month jacket. So buy a little bigger. But it was soooo adorable and very warm!
