Comfortable, but not super flattering

I got this for a company barbecue. I wanted something lightweight but more conservative. Also, it has pockets. I wish the drawstring ties were in the front because it's difficult to tie in a bow behind my back. The armholes are tiny, so my bra won't show, but if you have big arms then you might not fit into this garment. The fit is weird. My measurements are 40-32-40 and the medium looked like I was wearing a paper sack. The small looks OK. If you're a less busty person, I think it would look better on you, but if you're a size 2, I think you would be swimming in this dress. Try the Columbia PFG Freezer III Dress, which is a more forgiving fit but also a little more revealing.

The XS didn't fit correctly

The dress didn't fit correctly so it has been returned.

Odd fit

Didn't end up keeping, as it had an odd fit for me. It was too baggy, even after pulling the waist ties to cinch in. I have a bigger chest and it had plenty of room there. It jist looked frumpy on me since the waist ties still didn't give me any shape.

Not close to appropriately sized.

Even though I'm a touch curvy (5'2'' 115-20ish), I'm usually an XS or S in Columbia--more to the XS end in dresses. The XS was so large, I could have almost fit two of me in it. There's a drawstring to cinch the waist in the back; tightening that to make it "fit" made it look like a bustled wedding dress. I can't imagine who this would fit in their regular size.

Wonky Proportions

As others have noted, it's a cute style but the sleeves/arm holes are so veeeeeeeeery big you can see a lot of skin and full view of most of bra. The proportions appear to be very unusual. The fabric is high quality, that's the best part of this dress. I am returning it for reasons stated.

Great concept but odd fit

This is a great dress for walking in hot weather for those of us who prefer dresses to pants and shorts. I'm 5'5" and the length hits right at the knee, so it works well for older women. However, the fit is strange. It's roomy in the hips, very large in the bust yet tight across the upper back. Also, the sleeve opening is small and cut high at the armpit making for an uncomfortable fit when sweating. It's a great concept, but I can't imagine what shape model was used for sizing....large hips and bust with very small back.

Almost perfect

I want to love this dress but the fabric is noisy and not soft. Contemplating keeping it for the beach where it's quick dry fabric will shine. Great pocket design, slight racer back, and cinchable waist (strings hang at the back). Knee length.

Runs a little large

I followed advice to size down. I’m actually between xxl and xl and the XL fit perfectly. I’m 5’5. Overweight but still have regular body curves.

Very comfortable dress

This dress is great, very light weight and so comfortable. Love the pockets and the fact you can adjust the fit around the waist is great.

Interesting dress

Sized up one as I usually do with Columbia. Slightly large but the ability to tighten the built in bungee cord belt helps. Fabric is kind of windbreaker. Overall, I’m keeping it as I like the colour and shape.
