Better than expected!

I want to begin by stating that I am a Columbia stand through and through, but I’m not really a “shoe guy” in the sense that I’m not loyal to any particular brand like those crazy “On” people (like my wife) or Brooks, or Nikes. I own those other shoes, but they are just “meh” to me. Sure they’re great in their own right, but not SPECIAL! At this price, being rather budget friendly shoes, I was expecting more of the same: to be JUST another shoe, rather than THE shoe I will swear loyalty to and be the only shoe I’ll ever buy again (ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic). HOWEVER, this shoe is EVERYTHING I need in an everyday shoe. I’m very active, inside and outside everyday. I have used these shoes in the rain, playing sports inside on a basketball court (VERY GRIPPY which shocked me considering they are “hiking shoes”), walks around town, to church, and to the gym gym spending 45 minutes everyday on the elliptical and then doing intense weight training. ALL that to say that these shoes are incredibly comfortable, durable, supportive, water proof, practical and stylish. They can be worn for any occasion, with nice jeans, or old basketball shorts. You can go on a hike with these, or play indoor or outdoor soccer, etc. Truly the perfect shoe. I am going to order a second pair in a different color soon. Columbia nailed it again.

Too small

Slightly smaller than a regular size 11 shoe, but enough to make my feed hurt badly.

Awesome Shoe's.

Definitely one of the most comfortable shoe's I've ever owned. Very tough ans sleek looking. If you're and active outdoorsman or you work in a shop and are on your feet all day. Or you just like to walk I highly recommend these shoe's

Very happy with these. They fit me as expected (M size 7 US). Very comfortable. Colour is overall quite nice, but the neon green is a bit bright..

great shoes, short-lived

These shoes are light-weight, very comfortable and waterproof . . . for a while. I bought them in late October and used them frequently for hiking, trail running, and walking my dog on wet grass or mud or even snow. They worked great and kept water out. However by April or so, they were no longer water proof. Creases form at the corners of where the toes bend and the material degrades there. The soles are wearing pretty quick too. But I got them 50% off ($65) and plan to buy another pair for $85 now. I can continue wearing the old ones where its dry and save the new ones for wet days. Also if you get the plain ones they look relatively normal for daily use unlike many of the weird futuristic looking neon atrocities that are available. In summary, they look good, fit great, feel comfortable, initially waterproof, but durability is only about 6 months.

Hard to find a size 15 -

Cool shoe. Always hard to find a size 15 that fits nicely - this one does. Bought for $30 on black Friday - retail price seems crazy - but I'm digging it at $30.

Good for yard work

I needed something that would work well for yard work, and these do well - hold up in quality and keep feet from getting wet (mainly Spring/Fall). Not the most fashionable pair of sneakers, but for my purpose they work well. I don’t hike, so can’t provide feedback for the actual intent of these shoes.

Great waterproof commuting shoes

I wasn't expecting much of this shoes due to the price, but it is actually a good and comfortable shoes. It is perfect as commuting shoes specially during the rainy season. The Outdry also prevents wind from getting in the shoes, making it a little warmer and comfortable than a regular shoes in the winter. After walking for around 30 minutes on snow I started feeling my feet a bit cold, but no complaints about that as this shoes purpose is to be waterproof and not intended for snow or ice conditions. But in case you are wondering, yes you can wear it on snowy days like these ones we have been experiencing in Vancouver this year (an appropriate pair of winter socks will help). Can not say much about durability because I have been wearing this shoes for about a week or so. I truly hope it lasts because I liked them.

Excellent all round shoe for urban walks and backpacking (3 month review)

Out of the box the Columbia Men's Vitesse Outdry Multi-Sport Shoe fitted perfectly and felt really comfortable. For me the 9.5 UK size feels like a regular width shoe, I find some sports and walking shoes narrow but the Columbia Vitesse Outdry had plenty of room not to feel tight when deep into a walk. On a 10 mile urban walk (couldn't get to the countryside due to lockdown) with a heavy backpack the shoes felt very comfortable and I didn't really think about my feet which is a good sign. On a short hill walk in the damp and boggy Campsie Fells in Scotland the shoes performed well with the waterproofing keeping my feet warm and dry, also plenty of low profile grip on these shoes. As normal for me I upgraded the insoles to Superfeet Trailblazer E (42-44 EU) with just a couple of mm to trim off the toe area for the perfect fit. All in all a great walking shoe for the price (£69.49 July, 2020).

Great looking shoe, falls apart quickly!

I picked up this to wear as a casual walking shoe. It didn't take long before the sides of the shoe started deteriorating. I was shocked because Columbia is usually such good quality. I've maybe worn the shoe about 20 times and it looks like I've been wearing it every day for at least a year. Great looking shoe but I wouldn't recommend it.

A wee bit small made buy a half size bigger.

You need a half size bigger as they are small made. This was the case for both me and my wife. Very comfortable. I wouldn’t think they would be great for wide feet. My feet are narrow and they are snug fitting. Very cushioned but with great support & grip. Very well constructed & waterproofing is good. Pleased with them.

Pretty good all purpose shoe. Order one size up though - can be used as a slip-on!

Have been using for about 2 weeks now and it's been amazing. I put it through the test with long walks, running, hiking, snow, snowy hike and biking. Has kept my feet completely dry (despite going into puddles of water and piles of snow) and completely warm (even in temperatures around -8°C). I recommend ordering one size up. I always wear a US size 12, but I needed a US size 13 for this. With the size 13, I effectively use it as a slip on without ever tying laces (wouldn't be possible with the size 12).
