Good light color, Very bright for battery powered. Best for the money hands down.

Here you go: The most important part of lighting artwork is the color of the light. If artwork deserves to be lit, then it should look as it did when we purchased it. This has a very good color. Slightly bluer than true but not that ghastly incandescent yellow or the typical very blue LED. the light doesn't extend out very far so it's mostly centered near the top middle and I use it on a 24x36 painting. I would not recommend it for a painting longer than 30 inches and 20-24 inches wide. But, overall it's excellent. It is very heavy and attaches easily to the back of a good frame. I like it's variable power and the remote is nice. For the price, you won't find better. Period. It could be brighter, but in a darker environment, it would be too dramatic for most environments if it were. And in my experience, for battery powered lights, this is excellent. note after months of usage: I paid substantially less than the current full price at under $60. If I were to spend more, since the price has increased, I would look for one that has a deeper neck so it can extend farther over the picture and illuminate a taller image instead of just the top section.

Classy Product

I have purchased a dozen of these items in various lengths and finishes. They are perfect for my needs in providing subtle lighting for my artwork and photographs. The quality is high, installation is easy and the style works with my victorian decor. My only complaint is that one of the lamps did not have a set screw or the hole for a set screw. Further that one package did not have a remote. I do not know how the quality assurance inspector failed to notice these deficiencies but that is how the package was received. I hope the company will contact me to replace the one defective item.

I can't even tell you how much I love this light

I can't even tell you how much I love this light. I was so skeptical because I didn't want some bright florescent lighting. It gives you a few settings as to how bright of a light that you're looking for. I plan on purchasing another for our bedroom art!

dim but good

Not as bright as you would like even on the highest setting but it's what you're getting for battery operated it works really good as far as the remote easy install and looks good just not bright

Highlights My Artwork Beautifully

This light showcases my artwork beautifully. The battery power means no electric cord running down the wall. It also lets me place these lights over artwork that is not near an outlet. The remote works perfectly.

Modified review: After about 12 hours at 1/2 power the new fully charged Energizer D cells are going down. Dim light after 12 hours at 1/2 power is unacceptable. Checking the second Concept light I got yesterday to see if it performs the same. If so, returning both. Specs say 100 hours at full power. Ridiculous. Recharging the 4 batts requires taking light off wall mount, prying each battery out of the overly tight compartment, charging for minimum of 4 hours, reinstallation. Not something I want to do 3 or 4 times a week. Too bad because I do like the light quality. If you're an artist or collector, a fab way to enhance your artwork. Reasonably priced. Well made. Hint: I didn't like the glare off gold frame so taped a 1x11" black paper flag at back to block light spill on frame. See photo. Wouldn't be needed on a black or non-shiny frame.
