Love this product

Love this product! We purchased this one as an additional shade cover instead of using an umbrella over our patio table. Our existing one was purchased 8 years ago and looks as good today as the day we bought it. Love the 2 of them together.

No better than the $25 dollar shades.

This shade cost premium dollars and only lasted 5 months, over our pool, and the stitching in part of the hem came out and the support material broke.. Also had 2 places that the UV deteriorated and looks like more are developing.. I did not purchase this on Amazon so the warranty is null and void. WHY? Do they sell cheaper shades to un-authorized dealers for re-sale? The one I purchased has the official Cooloroo label on the underside. Really disgusted as I thought I was buying a top grade shade. The sun here in S. Arizona cannot be any stronger than in Australia, where their main headquarters is located. They give a 5 year warranty on this and advertise LIFETIME of use..Yea, whose lifetime? If the shade deteriorates, it's lifetime is done.

The more expensive sails are well worth the higher price!

We live in Oklahoma. Summer here is about like it is in Texas- HOT! For some reason we didn't put a cover over the deck on our house when we built it 14 years ago. So about 5 years ago we bought this Coolaroo. I highly recommend the one that comes with all the hardware. They have reinforced seams, the fabric is heavier and the hardware looks like new. It provides a wonderful amount of shade- even keeping the house cooler. We decided we needed more cover so we bought the less expensive sails without the hardware- which are not as good. The fabric is merely folded over to provide the 'hooks' to attach to. We had to have them resewn this summer, which made them a bit smaller. And you have to go to the hardware store and figure out what you need to hang them. None of them are made to look like canvas. It's more of an open weave. I don't think it looks shiny, especially once they are up. The water generally drips off the lowest corner of the sail rather than going thru. We have had nothing but compliments on ours. Plan to buy a couple more of the heavy duty and totally cover the deck.
