Nice for the price

Sterling Blue

I bought this eyeshadow because I was looking for a light blue, slightly silvery eyeshadow. This eyeshadow was the perfect shade for that. It lasts a decently long time, and because of its light color it seemed to blend evenly on my fair skin. It did come with a small smudging applicator wand which I appreciated. I took one star off of my review because the packaging was larger than I would expect - the amount of shadow was fairly little in the plastic case, leaving a lot of space for the applicator that didn't really need that much room, which I thought was wasteful.

Al Fresco is LIGHT BROWN

Al Fresco dark brown is not as dark as the product photo. The darkest brown shows up as a light brown. If you are looking for a dark brown rich powder, this isn’t it. I had to rub hard and apply several layers just to get a medium-ish brown color on my lid.

Couldn't find this color in the stores anymore. I hate when you find something you like and they don't sell it in the stores anymore. I bought three of the same color. They were less than what the stores charged. Great deal!

Does not have much colour, just glittery!

I do not use makeup very often, but I wanted an eye shadow that was sort of neutral but still make my eyelids a different colour. I can't really see a difference when I apply this product; no colour change (maybe it's just my skin tone). I do however, see the glitter so I still include this eyeshadow in my makeup routine.

Buying a familiar product.

I have used a number of different shades of this brand for many years. This color " Champagne" is okay but a little too shimmery. The price is right and the product is okay. The reason for my 1 star review is because of Amazon's really poor packaging. I had ordered 2 of this color and they were dropped into the box along with other purchases. As to be expected they rattled around during shipping and 1 arrived with the powder literally crushed. The 2nd pkg. was intact. I had also ordered 2 other eyeshadows of another color, same brand. They were shipped in individual bubble wrap sleeves. They arrived intact. This isn't rocket science. Someone needed to go a small extra step and put the first 2 compacts in bubble wrap sleeves as well.

Nope. Not a good one.

Back to the drawing board Covergirl. This product does not allow for easy application, it kind of clumps and takes time to smooth out. In addition, it breaks apart, even if you use just a feather touch with your applicator. Not happy with this one, at all.

Disappointing

I don’t think I would buy this again. The powder is somehow very chalky and not that great to work with. I find there really isn’t enough colour pigmentation (goes on way too sheer) which is compounded by the fact that it really isn’t that buildable for colour.
