Good Cleansing conditioner for all age groups
It's good to use this Surface Hair Curls Cleansing Cream. It seems to have a lot of high-quality oils in it to moisturize and protect the curls. Given that it is a cream-based product, it makes natural that this one does not lather. This was purchased for my daughter, who enjoys and has curly hair. It leaves her hair smooth and bouncy and feels wonderful to wear. She notably stated how wonderful and comforting the aroma of cake icing is. Nevertheless, the smell doesn't linger outside for long enough to bother other people. Although it greatly softens her hair, the frizz isn't really reduced by it. therefore, I take a star away. This product arrived completely sealed. The cost of this curling cream is similarly standard range.

Overpriced for me
I’ve been on the hunt for a hair care routine that helps enhance my curls and adds bounce. I have multi products but I’m not well educated on cleansing creams so some of these reviews were extremely helpful. What I’ve noticed while using this is how well it moisturizes. I usually brush my hair in the shower with conditioner as it helps detangle, this worked just the same. The smell is pleasant and not overpowering. I’ve noticed on some uses my curls seemed a little tighter but it is not consistent. One of the things I aim for in products is cruelty free, this product does that. Now, for pricing, I cannot see myself spending over $40 when I’ve had similar results to other hair care products. While I’m enjoying the cleansing cream, I wouldn’t buy again unless it was on sale.

Heavenly scent
The cake-frosting scent is so sublime, I did not want to get out of the shower. Forget the hair: I want to bathe in a tub of this. That's how good it smells. Fortunately, the fragrance fades soon after use and doesn't linger long enough to give me a headache or come off on the pillowcase. The product itself: a little bit confusing here. It's a cleansing cream, not a shampoo (Surface sells shampoos in the CURLS line) and a conditioner, but it doesn't take the place of a conditioner (Surface also sells conditioners in the CURLS line). My interpretation is that it's a shampoo for hair that needs a light cleaning (they suggest using their shampoo for grungy hair) with moderate conditioning. My fine hair is wavy/curly, but every day it seems to get more frizzy. I was hoping this product, meant for curly hair, would help remedy the situation. Although it makes my hair very soft, it doesn't really do anything for the frizz. Hence, a star off for me. Surface sells a CURLS whip leave-in conditioner that i will try next in my seemingly unending quest for the perfect hair products. I also may be addicted to that fragrance.

It’s a nourishing conditioner ⭐️????
This product’s description is confusing because it’s called CLEANSING CREAM yet it is a conditioner. I can tell you it keeps my scalp from becoming itchy & dry. It does help my curls become bouncy and helps protect my hair when I straighten it. I shampoo and then apply the cleansing cream. I leave it on my hair for a few minutes and use aScalp Massaging Shampoo Brush to work the cream into my scalp. Finally, I rinse and style as usual. EXPIRATION DATE: NONE! I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. The expiration date tells me whether a product has been sitting somewhere on a shelf or an idea of when manufactured for distribution. This product does NOT have an expiration date, likely because it is not required. THOROUGHLY SEALED: ✅ It is important to me how manufacturers seal & ship their products. This item was THOROUGHLY SEALED, as you can see from the pictures. To me, this means the manufacturer cares about its products.✔️ The PRICE for this curl cream is in the usual range. It’s exactly as advertised and works well.

Nice 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner
I’m accustomed to shampoos that lather up, so it felt kind-of weird at first to use a shampoo that doesn’t lather, but it was definitely effective at cleaning my hair, and I like that it contains no sulfates. I also like that this product doubles as a conditioner, so you don’t need to use a separate product for conditioning…and it has a really nice scent. I have long, fine, curly hair that I often dry straight, but sometimes I like to give it a break from all the heat styling and wear it curly, so I figured that my hair might benefit from this combination shampoo & conditioner made specifically for curly hair. It leaves my hair clean, soft, shiny, moisturized, smooth and less frizzy than usual. Nice product.

Smells like cupcake batter
I love it when hair products with shea butter smell like cupcake or cake batter. This is a very delicious, sweet scent while you apply it, but it doesn't really linger after rinsing. For reference, I have 2C waves with some 3A curls here and there. This co-wash made my hair texture look very shiny, soft, and bouncy without leaving it greasy. Once you get used to co-wash not being sudsy like shampoo, it's not a bad product at all. I suppose some people might have an adjustment period until your scalp and hair sort of balance out the oil production when going from shampoo to co-wash. I didn't really experience that, but everyone is different.

Quality Co-Wash
If you have never used a cowash before, it stands for “conditioner wash,” which means that the product looks, feels, & acts like a conditioner, but actually does the cleaning work of a shampoo. Cowashes, or cleansing creams, are meant to be more nourishing for hair, locking in moisture. This Surface Hair Curls Cleansing Cream is a nice one. It contains a lot of quality oils to protect and hydrate your curls. It feels great going on & left my hair soft & bouncy. As with all cleansing creams, you may have to use a decent bit to fully cover your hair. I usually just use the cream on my roots & then pull that through to my ends while rinsing. This helps the product last longer, while also cleaning my hair.
