Does the job

I had a Oster steamer for many years and when we downsized to travel, I gave it away. Now I'm sorry I did. This one does the job but isn't made as well.

Finally!!!

I had given up on finding again a steamer like this. I was very unhappy with the Hamilton Beach but did not find an alternative. I only learned about this one because it popped up on the side bar of my computer. Thank goodness.

Rice Steamer

I've been looking for a replacement to my old Black & Decker rice steamer and they run over $100 with some as high as almost $200... for a rice steamer? that is ridiculous. I found this item that is very similar and have used it several times with awesome results. I am super happy that I have perfect rice again and it was less than half the cost of the Black & Decker ones. It seems to be a decent quality and I'm hoping for years of use.

Very easy to use and clean

I wanted to make homemade dumplings and decided to buy an actual steamer. It took all of 5 minutes to figure out how to set it up, dumplings came out great. Took less than 5 minutes to clean it. Really happy with it, excited to make use of it and steam a bunch of other things. It's nice as the manual has a list of different things you can do and what to set the timer to.

Timer is not working well anymore...

I bought this steamer, after my Black & Decker died. For the most part it works very well. The only thing I can complain about it is the timer. The timer is inaccurate and undependable when it may shuts off the steaming. The timer dial seems to be completely off time it indicates on the set points on the display. For a while, I was able to work around it, but now it doesn't seems to shut off at all sometimes. It keeps over steaming my broccoli and asparagus which is terrible for my family who can't eat it that way. It makes rice and seafood well for which I use it most. I've had it for 2 years (2019) and still works, but I am shopping around for a better steamer with an accurate timer.

Good product for the money

Good product for the money. Just a little cheaper quality than we're used to, but does the job. We steam all of our vegetables + lobster tails. We steamed 12 hard boiled eggs the other day, worked great!

Good Product

When you get it seems the plastic thin and flimsy you have to take care when using it. Wash by hand. My Mother in law loves it and says it's better than the one she baught 20 years ago. Very pleased.

True rice steamer.

This is a true rice steamer! The rice only comes in contact with steam besides what water is in the rice. The rice never touches the heating surface like most rice makers, so it never gets scorched, and the flavour in never lost, Amazing! I absolutely love this unit.
