Bamboo barrier
Not bad for the price. Ends were brittle and wanted to crack and split.

All the bamboo can be enjoyed without intruding in my yard
I had a bamboo intrusion problem in the back of my yard. I had a 2 fool by 1 foot trench dug along the back of the yard. Then placed the Deeproot 24-inch shield in the trench and filled it with construction rocks. All the bamboo can be enjoyed without intruding in my yard. Great!

Not as flexible as I expected
I was expecting it to be a little more flexible like a thick vinyl. It will break if it gets bent. Otherwise seems like it should hold up for stuff with weaker roots. Not sure how well it will hold up to bamboo.

It's what we wanted and it'll be nice once we use some landscaping blocks to cover up ...
Had a large area to cover in the backyard. Was kind of a pain to have it extend 40 feet without it falling over and what not... Has a few kinks in it, just because of the massive size, the weight of the material drags it down. But! It's what we wanted and it'll be nice once we use some landscaping blocks to cover up the extending top part. So you won't even notice the kinks. Can't wait to plant the bamboo!

Good for Bamboo
The quality seems to be good and easily unrolls - not fighting it as you unroll. Punctures fairly easy. I used it for an existing running bamboo patch. I trenched around the patch and tried to remove any protruding rhizome and roots to prevent puncture. Was heavy at first. I suspect the 200 or 300' rolls would be very difficult to maneuver. However If I was to do it again I would go with a thicker then 40 ml, probably minimum of 60. Shipping was bad only rapped in shrink wrap. Had puncture/scrape that ruin about 10' of each roll.

If it doesn't it's most likely not the barrier's issue, it's the ferocious bamboo!!!
Bamboo is not the easiest of plants to deal with. I trenched and installed this barrier double strength 24" deep. It was fairly easy to work with considering it's a 100 foot roll!! I won't really know for a few years if it works but if it doesn't it's most likely not the barrier's issue, it's the ferocious bamboo. Good luck and thank you for trying to restrain the beautiful weed you are about to plant.

Very sturdy, worth the cost
Originally my bamboo trees were in a planter box that they have out grown. We moved the trees into the ground, bought this to control them from from spreading into the yard. So far no problems.
