Great addition to my doors

I bought this 1920's house and it has a lot of it's original features including the doors. The door handles have been changed but the handle plates are the originals. Due to that there are only a specific kind of door handle you can replace it with. These still have a bit of that antique look while still being completely functional.

Works good for the money

Works good for the money, if you have kids teach them to turn the knob to the left instead of trying to tear it off the door. Antique door mechanisms were not designed to be bi-directional.

This is perfect!

I try to keep our door handles looking antique, I had been looking for the mortise door set, I was happy that they had just the handle. It took me a few minutes to install. Under 10 minutes. It was super easy to install and it blends nicely with the old set. I will be ordering another for my closet door. In the future I know where to go for them now.

Is exactly what I needed

The media could not be loaded. Our new house was missing a bunch of doorknobs and we needed one for the door to our baby room. This product has worked amazingly it is a little stiff, but besides that no complaints.

Sturdy

I have an antique home with a warped bathroom door and a cheapo replacement mortise lock. The old doorknob kept coming loose. This one seems to have a heavier spindle. The set screw is a "01" Phillips which surprised me but I could really crank down on it. Some thread sealant and it's staying tight. I like the satin black finish also. Probably more historically correct than shiny brass.

You get what you pay for

The installation process was easy enough as I have extensive experience with mortise locksets but i believe this would be true even for people with novice experience with mortise doorknobs and lockets. The knobs are light weight and would not break toes if it fell. However, there is a single screw that tightens to secure each knob to the rod and 2 of the three knob sets that I purchase experience a "skipping motion" while the knobs are turned. This after having ensured propper installment with triple checking. I am yee of little faith in regard to the longevity and fear that the screw may be of poor quality; possibly not long enough. It could stand a second screw for each side. Aesthetically and historically speaking, it's simply elegant, and am pleased with it's appearance.

Door Knobs that are simple and easy to install

These are for inside doors and probably older doors. I have antique doors and just needed a knob to replace the older skeleton models. They work great!

They work and look good

Easy to install. Fit into the lock I had as if they were the original. Look fine as replacement although the original ones were glass knobs. This type of knob has a tendency to loosen a bit and if it starts to rotate wear off the thread. If you are pretty sure of not needing to remove for any reason perhaps Lock Tight would be appropriate. It sure is a great and easy solution rather than install a more modern lock which entails extensive adaptation to the door and door jamb.

Perfect fit

Although the knob does not go with the plate I installed it for, it still fits great. Very easy to install, sturdy and tight. I have high confidence this hardware will last a long time without stripping.

Replacement

Replace 75 year old knobs that were stripped out throughout the house. Fit was pretty good. Quality so-so but not too bad. Make sure to lock-tight the set screws.

Works well for my old apartment that requires this type of doorknob! I purchased a similar design in the past but it keep breaking after a couple of months. This one has lasted over a year, no complaints
