Cute but it will take some effort!

The coat portion of the costume is a lovely blue red velvet, the skirt coming out of the coat is more of an orange red crushed velvet. I ordered an XL as I usually wear a 14 but have to account for a large bustline. The material has a bit of give so I wasn't a sausage but there was definitely no extra room. The sleeves seemed a bit short for me but I was wearing long white cocktail gloves so no one would notice it. I put a long red petticoat beneath to give it body, I'm 5'5" and it falls just above the ground with ballet flats, so taller woman should consider, be careful. The style wouldn't lend well to a tea length version as there is printed design along the middle hem. The belt is not great quality but it does add a lot to the style of the dress, I used sticky back Velcro to make sure it stayed snug and in place, while it has the holes it does not have the toggle to put through them. My favorite part of this costume is the little cape, it really dresses it up and adds cute factor. It is actually embroidered like I wish the skirt design was. It doesn't stay in place because the ties with pom-poms is made out a slick material and won't hold a typical bow. I pinned each end of the cape to the dress, at the neck, and double knotted the tie and pom-poms just for looks. I didn't wear the hood from the cape as I was afraid the faux fur would drive me crazy, so I paired it with a Mrs. Clause wig found here on Amazon. It does come with a Santa hat but I really didn't want to tame the fur on that so I could wear it. Now, when it arrived at my home out came a plume of white fur when I pulled it out of the package. I laid it flat and combed the fir in the direction of its nap, I then trimmed in the areas where it was obviously cut for speed and not accuracy. There was trimming needed along some seams so the fur groomed and not pointing in all directions. I combed again and then ran over it with a good quality lint brush. I then turned it inside out and pressed on a low temperature. The pressing makes a huge difference, and then combed with the nap of the fur once more. The dress has a peter pan fur collar, the neckline needed no more bulk so I cut if off and I think this it made the red cap lay nicer. We got lots of compliments about our costumes as we rang the bell for charity. This costume was a much better choice than the other Mrs. Clause costume I bought, so give it a try but it won't be ready right out of the package.

Runs very small

Very pretty. After reading other reviews I ordered a size up.I should have gone up 2 sizes.It runs very small. Measurements are way off.

Way too small

This is at least one size too small. It would be nice if the measurements were accurate. We were planning on wearing matching outfits on Christmas Eve to volunteer ringing the bell for the salvation army. Hers is way too small and will not fit. Hopefully next year

Not bad

Fabric is what you'd expect from a costume. A little thin. However you get what you pay for. With that said. I am not complaining. It's nice for what it is. If you're looking for something the looks nice but won't break the bank . I would recommend this costume.

Well undersized

The Deluxe Classic Mrs. Claus Costume is an attractive costume. It is doubtful it would hold up for a few wears. Keep quality expectations down. The sizing chart is not very accurate. I ordered a large vs. the medium I would typically wear. It would not zip by inches. The color shown in the image would have worked with the Santa suit, but not a match. Unfortunately, it will be returned.

no stretch

The item is very pretty, but no stretch and is almost impossible to put on. Need to order larger size.

Beautiful except fur that sheds

This is beautiful for price. I’m going to put faux fur that is better value in it , because it sheds white fur onto everything.

Size chart runs small

I liked the item, but it didn't come close to fitting. I would add at least a size up.

Beautiful! But size up a LOT! I always wear a size medium, but ordered an XL and it was very snug.

Dissatisfied

The dress & cape shredded its fur, you could not use the belt as the buckle was missing it’s pin also there was a small pin hole in the garment. All in all very disappointing.

Very beautiful outfit but the dress fits a size smaller than expected, which is very dissapointing!

Ordered this for my wife to visit the elderly this Christmas. Had to use the size chart on the manufactures web site. Fits perfect. Looks Awesome. Is it professional quality? No. It's comfortable, fits well, and looks awesome. We need it for one night a year. Take care of it and it will last...

Sizing Guide is way off!

I bought this for myself based on the size guide which said XL (I normally wear size XL clothes as well)… I can’t get it on. It fits my 11 yr old daughter who normally wears size small clothing. Fabric is also very cheap, not like you would assume from the picture.
