Pre-drill!! and ...

The screws they give you are really long and heavy duty!!!. So even when I pre-drilled, then installed in a stud, the screw stripped out. I should have predrilled with a slightly larger bit, so it didn't struggle as much but my drill bit can only go so deep, so a lot of the screw was going into wood that was not pre-drilled. No way to avoid that unless you own really long drill bits. So make sure you predrill, and maybe consider a slightly shorter screw, just to get it in there. Anyway, I figured out how to make it work (thankfully cause I drilled holes in my tile shower, and it would have been a b*tch to fix if it didn't work)

Great looking grab bar for shower!

Very sturdy and excellent looking grab bar for the shower. New to me was the insertion grib for this bar - wow great concept and made so much more sturdy than having to find wood which wasn't there. I ordered from the used-like new and saved about $25! The package had been dropped and bar had very slight not noticeable dent which was fine for the savings.

Easy to Install

This bar went in from of the bathroom sink so my husband had something to grab when he pulled himself up out of his wheelchair. It was well mounted and remained sturdy and held his 200 pounds without incident - helped him remain stable.
