This bag really is a beauty. It is a nice size overall, and the strap drop is just long enough to carry by shoulder without hanging down to the upper hip on my 5'5" frame. The bag has a contemporary -- yet classic -- look, which is just my style. The quality of materials and construction are very good. In my opinion, it does not rival my fave, which is Cole Haan, but it is close. It does not have some of the hardware that a Cole Haan has, and as such, the bag is lighter than a Cole Haan of comparable size. I also am not convinced it is constructed of full hide leather, more likely bonded pleather, which is not stated and means the "leather" is actually leather-poly blend. If I get brave, I'll do a flame test. The leather does not seem as thick as Cole Haan and it does not have the feel of leather. Using the bag everyday to discretely carry a tablet was the reason for my purchase. The reason for 3 stars is the size of the tablet compartment, which are off. Although the measurements of the bag itself suggest it will fit a tablet, the tablet pocket is considerable smaller and the entry into the pocket smaller yet. It will not fit a full-size tablet, such as a 10.5" Samsung S4 (with or without a case), in the tablet compartment east-west. It will fit the tablet north-south, but that means the tablet is not fully in the bag, and even worse, the tablet would be between a magnetic closure. I have a 7" Tab A, and it fits no problem, and I believe an 8" would fit freely as well. However, tabs of a smaller size will fit in just about any bag and the price-point is so low, they don't need protection & care like higher priced, larger tablets. For a bag which is self-billed as "tablet friendly," this is a fatal flaw. I really do like the bag ... and the color. It just needs to be a wee bit more generous with the tablet compartment ... and the phone compartment (it will not fit my smartphone, with or without a case). If this bag was more in-tune to the size of current technology, and the market of women who carry them, it would be close to a holy grail bag for me -- even not full leather -- and for others, I suspect.
