the fit was perfect, not loose but firm and tight

This was the right length and model, however, in order for this to fit the original wall brackets I had to remove one from the wall and use one side only that came with the packaging. Otherwise, the brackets don't fit right and is loose when you assembled it. By installing one side to the older bracket and then a new one from the package, the fit was perfect, not loose but firm and tight. It worked very well and now my towel bracket doesn't have a bend in it and bathroom looks new again with all the new brass fixture replacements. Found only at Amazon!

Good for the price...

This bar is just fine for what we wanted... it's in a guest bath and doesn't get heavy use. It's not a particularly heavy piece of equipment and it probably wouldn't be the best for long-term, daily use. But it looks nice and has given us no problems.

good hard to find item

exactly as advertised & a good replacement for an identical bar that was missing. Polished brass accessories are considered "out of date" so it is difficult to find them in retail outlets. This was precisely what I needed.
