Product is awesome....OMG the packaging
I bought these for my geriatric pup - they are adorable and well made. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the product...but for anyone that has a pet peeve for really awful packaging, beware. These came encased in what I can only describe as the worst styrofoam IN THE WORLD.....styrofoam that was either made by the devil or perhaps it was the very first batch ever made on the planet since it flakes in a million little balls at the mere suggestion of movement or touch. ARGH please open your box away from kids or younger pups that think its edible.

Works great for indoor
I was concerned over some of the reviews but so far they are great. My dog has been having less accidents since he started using them. I just placed them on puppy pads. One of my cats did knock one over and nothing happened to it.

This works great!!
This works great! I needed something to attract my male dogs. They are 13 pounds and 16.5 pounds. (The one in the picture is the 16.5 pound.] We travel year-round in a travel trailer. Therefore, if I need to be gone for a period of time, I like to leave a pee pad for them. As they are a boy leg-lifters, they sometimes don’t do such a good job of hitting the pad. This has made that much better. They aim for the fire hydrant! ???? Since it is plastic, and I wanted it to be easily washable, I got a clear epoxy spray from Lowe’s, and put about three coats on it before using it. It rinses off quick, and holds up well.

I gave it as gift to my sister’s pup. Now everyone wants one! :) It’s surprisingly sturdy and heavy. It makes for great display at the planter area. A wonderful novelty item.

Cute, Authentic Hydrant
I ordered these items on July 16th and received them yesterday, July 19th. Fast delivery, although expensive....the shipping cost was nearly half the cost of the set of 2 hydrants. However, the packaging was incredible. I read the reviews from folks who had ordered the same hydrant that had been shipped from a different merchant and they arrived in pieces. Mine were packed individually in styrofoam (fitting the shape of the hydrant.) They were then wrapped very tightly with bubble wrap which was then packed inside a box that fit so tightly, I could barely get it out. Both hydrants were packaged the same and then the individual boxes were inside another box that also fit so snuggly they were not easy to remove. Quite a different experience from those who received their hydrants "in pieces." So far my dogs haven't paid any attention to them, but they are very cute and even if they are never "used", they are fun little objects for the yard.
