Beautiful fountain but beware

The fountain itself is beautiful and seems of good quality, but after only 3 months the pump appears to be weakening and is barely strong enough to pump water. The plug gets very, very hot and I'm afraid might cause a fire. When contacting the seller they said it was too late to return and that I could purchase a new pump. After spending over $400, I find it ridiculous I have to buy a new pump on a product only 3 months old! It seems seller won't stand behind their products is the norm these days.

Lovely Turtle Fountain

I paid $266.11 directly to Toscano to buy this. It was on sale, and then I went to RetailMeNot.com to find a coupon to use, so that is how I got such a good price. It was on backorder and took 2 months to arrive, which didn't bother me. Well, it arrived yesterday and was a cinch to set up. I am posting photos so you can see the size of it next to a chair. Another reviewer was dismayed by the turtle shell ceramics, which had white gaps. As you can see in the photos, I have those too, but it doesn't really bother me. My mother used to do ceramics and I know it is hard to get it perfect. There will always be some little gaps. The sound is LOUD! I wanted that - I wanted something I could hear while I sit and read a book. I just love the sound of water. So I give it 4 stars because it is not perfect but it is really, really nice. I like it! The turtles remind me of the turtles I saw when snorkeling in Barbadosl

Still nice after one year.

The media could not be loaded. I use in my office for soothing background light and cascading water sounds. The flow rate on the water pump is adjustable but I run on lowest setting to avoid splash. I would recommend running distilled water with a teaspoon of bleach to keep the bowl clean but you should still change out the water and clean out the bowl occasionally to minimize scale and mold/algal growth. I could use it outside but it’s too nice.so I keep it inside all year. Power adapter does get warm but nothing outside normal. We live in a wooded area with bears so this fountain fits in perfectly with our environment.

Wonderful fountain -- where are the instructions.

The fountain is just what I was hoping it would be -- however, no instructions that could be deciphered. The back that should go on does not seem to fit, so I have not been able to set my Pelican fountain outside where I planned on having it. I am really disappointed that there were no instructions for assembling the pump and back --- I managed the pump, but there is another wire with some kind of plug outlet that no one seems to know where it goes. The one for the pump of course is your electrical source to make the pump work. I collect pelicans and am looking forward to placing this wonderful fountain in a very conspicuous spot among my other Pelicans.

its a very nice fountain I am happy with it. the pump the flows the water is very very loud. its louder than the water in the fountain. its not touching the sides but can't keep it on very long with the loud sound.
