A great vacuum, perfect for those with extra DeWalt batteries

The DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Wet-Dry Vacuum does exactly what it's advertised to do. I've been using it for about a month now and the battery is still showing 3 green bars (over 80% charge). I've vacuumed out 2 cars, lots of kid's spills (including milk and water splatter) and it didn't seem to dent the battery life. The suction is very good, it's not overly loud (you can talk to someone else in the same area comfortably). I found the filter is easy to remove and clean (surprisingly easy). The bottom container is super simple to detach (you can see the black latch in the image and one on the other side), just flip them open, empty out and re-attach, done. My wife and I would wholeheartedly recommend this as portable vacuum cleaner. Idea: DeWalt please offer a collapsible extension option for high or hard to reach locations

This is the second one of these I have purchased

This is such a great little shop-vac (non registered trademark use of that name since it is Dewalt). I have been using my first one for work for years without an issue, so when I needed one for home it was a no-brainer. I love that I can use this from battery or wall power and notice zero difference in suction. It is portable, versatile and just a great overall little wet-dry vac.

Great Gift for My Dad

My dad wanted this for Christmas, and loves it. I have used it a few times myself and it works very well for cleaning up small spaces an the portability is amazing.

Perfect vacuum cleaner

I like this vacuum cleaner it’s not to big or small just the perfect size to be portable with one hand has 2 attachments perfect for cleaning out my car doesn’t take to much space up in the garage I only used it twice bery use if you already have the dewalt battery i used it with a 6ah battery 20v

Not Bad

I like it but after the first time I used it on water, I cleaned the filter at the sink and left the lid off the vacuum for a day so it would dry. The next time I went to use the vacuum there was very little suction power. When I removed the filter, the suction was back to normal. I had a spare filter, so I replaced the filter with a new one. Now it works great again. I don't know why the filter is not letting the suction go through, but I will try to hose it off with a lot of pressure and see if that works. I would hate to have to change the filter every time I use it for a water clean up.

Really good at wet pickup

This works great at all tasking, but it really worked for vacuuming water out of carpet after a plumbing failure.

Would have been a five star if....

DeWalt has produced a heavy duty battery to give this unit plenty of suction power. So, that placed it above other battery vacs. However, the coil cord is short and there are no extension tubes that I could find. Fortunately, I took some from my electric vac so that I could walk and vacuum an area where there is no electricity and blowing is not an option. The unit needs come or at least offer extension tubes. unless the unit is sitting on a work area next to you, it is useless. Also, the on/off switch is under the handle which is not convenient. But, for manufacturing purposes it makes sense. I can deal with that. The battery area is large enough for big hands to easily insert and remove the battery. The battery must be bought separately as well as the charger, so this turns out to be very pricey. The accessories offered do not match what the power provides. I have smaller battery vac for fine work. The 2 accessories that come with the unit work for most heavy duty vacuuming.

I was robbed with this garbage

This is crazy this vacuum stop working last week and i only use it 5 times. This is a piece of garbage. Dewalt just is stealing ghe money from customers, just like me. I still can not believe it. 5 times i used to vacuum verylittle dust from the new hatdwood floor. Very very disappointed with dewalt. i just lost the money and i can not do nothing that because i buy it here at Amazom. I will never buy again. I was robbed with this piece of garbage.

Good vacuum if you are careful.

This is a very good portable vacuum. It has excellent power for the type of work it was meant to do. 18 volt & 20 volt flexibility is a plus, and not having to remove the filter for wet pickup is great! I docked it 2 stars for the position of the air outlet. This does not appear to be well thought out. It’s so close to the suction tube that you have to be very mindful of the position of the vacuum or you will blow away whatever it was you were trying to vacuum up. Come on Dewalt, you are better than this!

Dewalt 20 volt vacuum

Got this little vacuum because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered plugging and unplugging my rigid vaccum. This works great on saw dust and dirt and quickly cleans small messes and the portability is awesome. I have not used for wet applications so I may have to update in a while… pretty great for battery power. On the con side a little longer hose would be a nice addition. All and all pleased with this purchase

well made unit

Read lots of comparisons between this and others. I actually favoured the Milwaukee, because of the suction power. Already have several DeWalt tools, so had the batteries. WhileI I think the suction could be a bit better find it totally acceptable. The off..on switch is in an awkward location, and the exhaust direction is something to be aware of. It has s a good run time ( better than Milwaukee) . Seems to be well made and would recommend it.
