I really wanted to like these, but ...
This does make clear ice cubes though I thought they would be bigger. I mostly make drinks in double old fashion glasses and having to use two cubes (one looks a bit silly) consumes the cubes faster and dilutes the drink a bit more than one cube would. The need for two makes me fell like I'm constantly making cubes and wondering if the clarity is really worth it. The cubes release well and I put them in a bag so can clear things away as there are a lot of pieces laying around if you don't. After about four attempts, I think I figure out a process to get it right but it is still messy and waists water and energy. After I empty the trays, I'm left with the ice in the bottom of the inner tray that needs to be removed. The fastest way I found to remove it is to set it in the sink (I have a smaller sink in my bar) and fill the sink and the tray with hot water until the remain ice melts enough to separate. Once empty, I take a 1 cup spouted measuring cup and fill the inner tray sections up to the third line from the top, then slip the silicone forms back into the tray. I had to do this in the order because, when I put the forms back in the tray and filled them with water, I partially got bubbles in the ice or less than square cubes. By having the water in the tray first, I solved the problem but it does make a mess as it is really hard to pour into the inner tray sections to the exact right height. After I clean up the counter and the tray top from the water that was pushed out, I take the measuring cup and a teaspoon and slowly fill each form to the top of the form so I will get the "square". If I overfill, I use the spoon to take out some of the water in the form to get it back down to the right level. I put the tray back in the foam hold and place it i the freezer drawer in a place I have cleared out, permanently for that size piece. Because of the effort and room consumed in the freezer, I'm not aren't considering the larger version. Again, the results are nice, square, clear cubes as promised. Just wish it more convenient. It would have rated it higher if that was the case.

Pretty good!
This maker makes fairly clear ice in my chest freezer but not perfect. I have a 4 ball round cube maker that makes absolutely clear ice with hot tap water but it takes 48 hours. I believe the key to getting crystal clear ice is for the cubes to freeze slowly. If your freezer is 0 degrees, it will freeze fairly fast and be cloudy. If your freezer is set warmer, I think I get better results. So if you have a freezer with digital temperature control, turn it up to as warm as it will go and try it if you aren't getting good results. This does work and cubes are fairly clear, and I like the size of the cubes for cocktails.

Awesome product!
I could not be happier with this product! The last time I tried my hand at clear ice cubes was years ago before any of these specialized trays existed, and you had to punch holes in a silicon ice cube tray and then put it in a cooler in your freezer. This product made it so easy! The molds lift effortlessly out of the bin, and getting the ice cubes out of the mold was as simple as pulling them apart. The ice cubes did come out crystal clear! The tray itself is not very large and doesn't take up a large amount of space in your freezer. In response to all the reviews that said the ice cubes were too small: just read the item description. It says they are 1.375 inches square, and they are. There are larger ones at 2" square, but I intentionally bought these because they are easier to fit in a tall, skinny glass like a Collins glass.

Here's Reality
This is a well made product. Parts fit securely, and it makes an awesome cube with sharp edges! But totally clear ice? I followed their directions 100%. The reality is it's not possible to make clear ice using a regular freezer like you and I have. A regular freezer with a temperature around 0 degrees Fahrenheit will freeze ice too fast and trap air. I've tried all the tricks: boiled water (cooled); double boiled; filtered; distilled; straight tap water; warm water. I've insulated this insulated device in another cooler to keep it warmer (didn't help). The freezer is just too cold and freezes too fast and the ice is not ABSOLUTELY clear. It is FOR SURE clearer than normal freezer ice, but not the crystal clear all the way I was hoping for. Maybe there is a hidden technique out there to make it totally clear. Or else I need a mini freezer I can muck with to set the temperature closer to 28 degrees F and slow down the freezing process. UPDATE 09.18.21 - I did end up buying a mini freezer AND a remote thermometer, AND a smart controller that can turn the freezer on and off so I can control the internal temperature pretty closely (on the order of +/- 2 degrees F). The result is much clearer ice. It's a fun thing to do, and it works way better than your standard freezer could ever do. As far as this product goes, it has been very durable, very easy to use, and produces nice ice cubes. I would buy it again - then again if you do buy it, realize you may need to buy the mini freezer, thermometer, smart controller, etc. Sigh,....

Clean or rinse between uses.
Product does take up a little bit of room in the freezer but produces nice little 1.5 inch/ 3.8 cm cubes. I have softened water and it works well with regular tap water and still produces ‘clear’ cubes. I did try making several batches in a row with only rinsing out the unit and by round 3 the cubes were not as ‘perfect’. I would recommend 2 cycles only before a through cleaning.

A good almost clear ice cube.
Your not going to get perfect crystal clear ice cubes. Your ice will have small cloudy imperfections, but so do diamonds. For an “at home” novice bartender, it’s perfect for us. The ice molds are easy to remove and the cubes pop out easily. Give the tray a bit of time to warmup. You’ll have an extra 8 (cloudy) cubes of ice for your other needs So each batch can make 8 clear and 8 no so clear ice cubes. . I would recommend it.

Works well after some experimentation
In a batch of 8 cubes, 6 or 7 will turn out almost fully clear, with 1 or 2 having some white streaks near the bottom. Make sure to let the tray warm back up to room temperature before making another batch; if the insulation is already cold, the tray won't freeze top down like it's supposed to. Even after washing the silicon, the first few batches of ice seemed to pick up some kind of weird film off the silicon, and I had to give the ice cubes a quick rinse before putting them in drinks. A little pricey for what it is, but it seems to be a niche market so I guess that's what it costs.

Works well, however cubes are a bit small
This product works really well, you get perfectly square and clear ice if you follow the instructions correctly. However, a major negative is that the cubes are rather small - around 1.3 inches. I would have preferred if there were fewer cubes with a larger surface area - at least 2-2.5 inches. You’ll need at least 2 of these cubes to chill your drink, which is going to dilute the drink faster. Other than that, an excellent product.
