Very happy with purchase

I am kind of obsessed with dish towels. I love giving them as gifts. I ordered others from a well known popular store that charged a lot more money and was disappointed in the quality. I got these in the mail and they are half the price and better quality. I love this type of dish towel. The more you wash them the more absorbent they are. I gave it four stars because I have purchased nicer ones but they were also much more expensive. This is a great towel for the price.

Basic, pretty Christmas pattern

These towels get more absorbent with repeated washing. And they don't need to be ironed--just smoothed out and folded nice. Personally, I like the mostly red field with minimal white pattern. Stains don't show up as easily. And any yellowing of the white after sitting in a drawer or box for a year won't be noticeable either. One of the towels is a Christmas pattern, the other is red and white stripes. I can use the red and white stripes for Valentine's Day. This set is gift-able IF you remove them from the cellophane bag they come in and re-package them or mix into a gift basket.

Great Towels

I really like these towels one is very much a Christmas towel and the other is made to look like red ticking fabric, red and white strips. While the Christmas one can be used as a towel, it could also be hung as a wall hanging. A quilter could turn it into a small mini quilt in no time. It has a beautiful design on it. Of course, if you don't need a wall hanging or mini quilt, You can use it for doing dishes or as a Christmas Stocking Stuffer or hostess gift. I really like the red ticking towel as it very much appeals to me. While the colors make it Christmasy, It could also be used for any patriotic holiday as well. For those handy with a sewing machine or a home embroidery machine, You could turn this towel into something with a country look, or attach a towel topper to it. I have a lot of ideas for it. I just wish I had more oomph to do all the sewing projects that I would like to. Thank you for the opportunity to review these towels.

Cute and Absorbent

These dishtowels actually absorb water! A lot of dishtowels lately are used as a decoration and not for dishes, which baffles me still. I can use these for grabbing trays out of a hot oven, for drying dishes, and for absorbing spilled liquids! These are oversized as well, and do not wrinkle when washed!

Rounds out my decorations

These towels look great in my kitchen. They nicely round out my holiday decorations. They makegreat decorations and really good hand towels but theyare not great for drying dishes. They just don't absorb the water off the dishes very easily. They are definitely worth getting for the decoration alone, so the lack of absorbency doesn't bother me. 1 star - Awful! Want my money back! 2 stars - Bad but not horrendous. 3 stars - Decent/Good 4 stars - Really good! 5 stars - Excellent! Definitely recommend!

Cotton towels are very absorbent.

These DII Cotton Christmas Holiday Decorative Dish Towels, 18x28", Set of 2-Merry XMAS Vintage are pretty good. They are all cotton so they are very absorbent. I like that they are longer so they they fit around larger plates and aid me in hand drying my dishes. I also like that the towels dry quickly after use. Another feature of these towels that I enjoy is that they are lint free. Clean dry dishes is the result.

Beautiful but not very absorbent

These are nice, big kitchen towels with lovely Christmas designs. They would make a cute holiday gift. Unfortunately they are not as absorbent as they are beautiful. I wish they were more "thirsty" and would dry hands, counters and dishes better than they do.
