This is a great little Frozen castle with lots of little play pieces. When it's closed, it doesn't look terribly impressive, but when it's open, it has some fun little details and accessories. It comes with a little Elsa doll and a little Olaf, as well as 2 snow buddies and 2 snowcones. It also comes with a throne, little chaise bed and a little sleigh. Elsa's skirt and cape are removable. Her skirt is made of fabric, while her cape is made of a rubbery, clear plastic with beautiful iridescent shimmer and glitter. With her cape on, Elsa can stand on her own! Elsa, Olaf and the snow buddies all have tiny holes on the bottom that allow them to be attached to tiny pegs throughout the castle so they can be posed and positioned in a variety of places and stand up on their own. The snow buddies can also be attached to the snowcones to create a snowman-cone! The tiny Elsa is adorable. Her head can twist and her arms and legs move up and down so she can sit on the throne, bed or sleigh. Her arms are made of a rubbery material, so hopefully that means they won't break off as easily as the older mini-dolls hard plastic arms used to. When you open the castle up, like I said, there are some fun details. There is a little slide that folds down and clicks into place and a door that folds out with attached stair steps. The kids didn't really understand how the stair steps worked or what they were for at first, until I showed them. I got this for my pre-kindergarten class and they absolutely love it but really wished that more characters came with the set, especially Anna. And for the price, I think it should've come with more characters too. However, my students love the little snow buddies and the tiny snowcones. Unfortunately, with such tiny items, things can get lost easily and one of the snowcones got misplaced almost immediately. When the castle is closed, there is a handle on top to make carrying it easy. This would make the set really convenient and portable. Unfortunately, all the little items, like the bed and sleigh, don't fit inside easily while it is closed! This means that it can't all be stored and moved together and you have to worry more about things getting misplaced since they're stored separately. Between that and the fact that I think the price is a little high for what you get, I can't give this set 5 stars, but I give it 4 because the kids love it so much!
