Thin pieces.

I got this 2 pack of puzzles for my 2 year old daughter, but she seems a bit too young for it yet. I think when she's closer to 3 years old she will understand it more. The pieces are very thin, but sturdy. The problem I have is with the storage tubes. The tubes have a very thin covering on top and while they are cute, they peel easily, so one of the tubes tore and don't look as great as the other, but I can tape it back together. I just wish the tubes were made well because they are a nice little piece of decor I can add to my daughter's room.

Puzzle set of 2

When I first looked at the puzzles, I wasn’t sure whether or not the storage case was going to be metal, plastic, or paper. I wasn’t able to find those details on the ad either. Unfortunately, it is just a thick cardboard material. I personally would’ve preferred something like a metal or plastic for durability and longevity. That being said, it is rigid but I would prefer something more substantial. The puzzles are printed well and have vivid coloring. The canisters open easily and hold all the puzzle pieces. The puzzle pieces are well-made. It’s a tight fit getting them in the container. A younger child may need help and sometimes when they go in at odd angles, it gets frustrating for my kids. A little extra space inside would have been nice. I think they are a good deal. I do like the characters for my kids. The puzzles are easy to do in one sitting so they can actually complete them. Also, if you wanted to stretch your dollar even further, you could open the pack and split up the set. Because each one really is it’s own puzzle. Thus it can easily be gifted to two recipients. Then it truly is a bargain if you figure your getting a small gift for two people.

Great for kids

Our boys (2.5 yr and 5 yr old) love puzzles. While our older child is able to do 200 piece puzzles on his own (he could definitely do more if not so easily distracted), he still enjoys many of his puzzles with lower piece counts. This 2-pack was perfect- one for each of them. It's challenging for the younger one and still fun for the older one. They enjoy Disney characters, so both the puzzles and the tubes they come in spark their interest. The tubes are also great for ongoing storage.

Wish this set was sturdier.

We're a family of jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts so we start our kids very early with "floor puzzles." If you're shopping on this page for a jigsaw puzzle for a preschooler, try searching Amazon for "floor puzzles." In particular, we can highly recommend the Melissa & Doug floor puzzles. We own several of them and they're popular to put together, then popular to put together again a week or so later. They get a lot of wear and tear and they hold up well. These two puzzles are fun to assemble, but the containers are not very sturdy and the pieces themselves are not the kind of thicker-quality pieces that we generally prefer in jigsaws for kids. Did we enjoy assembling these with our preschoolers? Sure! They're easily recognized and beloved Disney characters. Also, the price is very attractive. We tend to order jigsaw puzzles that are twice this price and sometimes are even more expensive. So, we're giving this 4 stars. We had fun, but it's not likely this set will last through the years on our shelves of games and puzzles like other more-sturdy brands have done.

Just challenging enough

For a 5-year-old or advanced 4 year-old, this puzzle set will provide a fun and challenging experience with familiar and timeless characters. The images on the puzzles are bright and colorful, and the character cardboard tubes for storage are adorable and look great on the kids' shelf. A couple of things to keep in mind - the photo of the puzzles is only on the box, so even though you have the cute storage tubes, you kind of need to save the box! A folded poster would have been a nice addition. Also, the pieces are sturdy, but if they are put together incorrectly (or even correctly), there is a chance that the smaller pieces that stick out can tear. With this in mind, I'd prepare the child that if they need pieces taken apart, ask for help, or just supervise as they build. Regardless, this is an adorable puzzle set for kindergarten aged children, and everyone loves Mickey and friends, so this is a great gift.

My Disney-loving granddaughter likes it. I wish picture of completed puzzle was on container.

My granddaughter is preschool age and loves Disney. We assemble puzzles together so I thought she would have fun with this. I was right, she likes the puzzle. I must say, though, that I wish the containers had an image of the completed puzzle on them. It's harder to assemble without a completed image, though the box it comes in has them. (Really, who keeps the box?) Anyway, the listing says that the material is plastic. The puzzle is actually cardboard. With the way kids handle the pieces, it will only be a matter of time before they tear or wear out. For now, it is a fun activity for my granddaughter and I.

Cardboard tube

I do not know fully what I was expecting for the price, but I grew up with puzzles in metal tubes so I was expecting something similar. So to my surprise they are cardboard with cardboard ears that are easy to rip off. Kind of disappointing if you were hoping for something that would last a while with little kids. But then again, its a puzzle so it is probably only a matter of time before a piece goes missing (I just thought it would be a puzzle piece, not a tube piece lol). But regardless, its a very cute puzzle of Mickey and Goofy. My toddler loves them.

Nice puzzle set for younger kids

I got this puzzle set for my 5 year old son. The set looks adorable, the puzzle printed well, and 36 piece puzzles are good mix of difficulty for my son. The storage cans look very cute, but the ears on each can are card board and will rip off easily. Theres also no place the puzzle picture is printed for reference except for the back of the box, which i had planned to throw away because of the storage cans.

Amusant mais fragile
