Excellent Solid Brass Quick-Connect
I have tried several metal and plastic Quick-Disconnect fittings for garden hose attachments. I came back to the plain simple and best design of the Dixon. None of the others work as well as this design, which gives full water flow unlike the others, and Dixon quality is top notch. You get what you pay for here and these could last (nearly) a lifetime. You may be passing them down to future generations. Purchase once and done!

Should have bought these years ago!
I've added these to most of my watering devices and they have made the watering chores so mech easier, I will be ordering more to cover all hoses, sprayers and sprinklers + a few extra.

These are compatible with "Worldsbest" brand.
The old ones from "Worlds Best" were labeled made in the U.S.A.. Since I couldn't find those anymore, I ordered Dixon Quick-Connect Fitting # DGH7P. The country of origin is not on the package or part. Which means its a near certainty they are not made in the U.S.A. I noticed the Dixons are slightly shorter where it screws into the hose, I had to put in 2 gaskets to stop leaking but the quick connect part worked just fine.

These work and DO NOT leak
These are heavy machined brass and they work great. They are easy enough to couple and uncouple and they DO NOT leak. I've tried other quick detach garden hose couplings, starting with plastic ones from the big box stores which were leaky junk and hard to use. I moved up to the "machined metal" ones that are anodized aluminum. They worked pretty well for a year or so, until they became corroded. I had to use two pairs of channel lock pliers to unscrew them from the hose because of the corrosion. Then I got the Dixon couplings and am happy. They are expensive by comparison but worth it. The only caveat is not to screw the female coupling onto the faucet too hard. It squashes the seal enough to protrude and prevent the male coupling from seating, so that they won't couple. A snug turn on the female coupling is good.

This system actually makes watering a pleasure!
So much easier now to switch from a sprinkler to a hand held sprayer by using this connector system. I also purchased the full (two piece) set and put it on a sprinkler ... and I purchased this single connector to go on a hand held sprayer. Switching back and forth is now a breeze. All I have to do is pull back on the collar and the two brass fittings disconnect. It actually makes watering a pleasure! Although some quick-connect fittings stops the water from flowing when they're disconnected, this one doesn't. I'm fine with that as I can crimp the hose to make a quick switch to a hand held sprinkler .... or just use it full blast from the hose to water flowers/bushes, etc.

Honestly, a bit "pricey" but when it comes time ...
Honestly, a bit "pricey" but when it comes time to uncoupling a hose, or what goes on the end of the hose - - WELL WORTH IT. Haven't had them for very long, and so far, no leaks (as I've read in reviews). Changing from Sprayer to special attachments, to sprinklers - ALL A SNAP. No more twisting forever and getting no where, no more "they're so tight I can't turn it, have to get a pair of pliers", etc. With these, simply pop off.

WAY better than the plastic ones!
Well made BRASS.Very high quality, but $$.These will last for years. Easy on and off but take the coupler inside over the winter or they will rust up.
