Donald J. Pliner Makes a Fine Sandal

Donald J. Pliner makes finer shoes and sandals. I have been a fan of these products for over 30 years now. The sandals referred to above feel like they have been handmade and are true to size. I get many compliments on them as well as every other pair of sandals or shoes I wear. They are pricey but well worth the price. The styles appeal to all age groups in my opinion. The above sandal will be the one I wear for the rest of the summer. I am lucky because I live in Florida. I get to enjoy them year round.

Not what I had hoped!

I loved the color but wasn’t wild about the design. They fit perfectly but not worth the price. The upper seemed like plastic.

Adore them

Fifi sandals by Donald Pliner have been my go to sandal for a few years now. The beaded sandals are such a nice touch. I have gotten many compliments when wearing them out. Comfy and cute.

Not the old Donald J Pliner quality

I have worn this shoe for probably ten years. I have been through around ten pairs. There has been a marked decline in quality recently. It’s not Amazon— the same lesser shoe is being sold at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. I suspect this is one of those cases where the brand name was sold to a third party who gets to make and market something they call Pliner. But I’m here to say that if you know this shoe this is not the same as it used to be. So why three stars? Because I still like the design better than any other sandal, and I have not found a replacement. But my heart breaks a little each time I wear these.

Break em in

The fit is requiring me to slowly wear the sandals. They need to soften up. I love the way they look

Look great! Unfortunately painful!

The sandal looked awesome on my feet and were the perfect size (5). However, the left sandal where the top hit my left big toe sent searing pain up the side of my foot. I could not find a visible difference in the left shoe compared to the right. The pain was so bad I could not walk across the room. It was very weird and I was so disappointed. I have admired the Donald J Pliner sandals for years. Hopefully, no one else has had this experience.

Narrow and short

I love this sandal. I first ordered it in my regular 9.5 M size but it was narrow and tight in the in-step. I returned it. I returned it for a size 10 M and the length was better but the width was still very narrow. The sandal is stiff with no give. Very uncomfortable. I had to return it as well.
