Good product but not if hubby's clothes are stinky :)

I love the fact this fabric softener is environmentally friendly. That is the main reason why I used this product for almost a year. Pros: doesn't harm the environment, does soften laundry Cons: does not leave a scent (after using 2 capfuls) While some people prefer little or no scent in their laundry, I actually NEED it because my husband's clothes are, well...stinky. He's a smelly guy and I need a stronger scent to cover up the smell and Ecover does not do the trick unfortunately. I still use it on my kids clothes for now but their clothes are developing a smell of their own too. :) So, I think I'll be doing more research to find another environmentally friendly fabric softener with a stronger scent. I've had mild success with Method's fabric softener sheets so I may go that route for now instead of the Downy that I've resorted to for my hubby's clothes.

Good price, smells nice

I've always bought heavily-scented commercial brand fabric softeners because I really like my clothes to smell CLEAN. I'm trying to transition to more eco-friendly products so I tried this one and I love it. It is definitely a more subtle scent, but in a good way. It's pleasant and 'clean' smelling, without the overwhelming clean laundry smell- which I always liked, but I realize not everyone might. I haven't noticed a huge difference in my clothes, but bed linens are noticeably softer so that's nice. I'm not crazy about the bottle design, and I've got a lot of these lined up in my pantry after purchasing via subscribe and save. If that's the only complaint I can come up with, it's a pretty good product! I do sometimes have to pour some water into the fabric softener slot on my machine, then follow with the fabric softener. It seems to work just fine, no problems yet and I'm 3-4 bottles in! I'll definitely be ordering more, just undecided on trying a new scent or sticking with this one.

Has the ecover formula changed?

I used Ecover fabric softener on my pre fold cloth diapers to get rid of the crunchies and loved it so much I started using it on all our regular wash laundry. It was a thick formula that left our clothes super soft. That was 6 months ago do when I ran out of my bulk order, I immediately reordered this bulk order. I still love how it's plant based. It's better for the environment that way and nothing toxic against our skin, but this new batch is much thinner and doesn't make my clothes AS soft. I still like it but I'm a little disappointed. It does still make our clothes soft, but not 5 star soft as before. I would still definitely recommend it though!

Love this Eco-friendly softener!

After tons of research regarding laundering cloth diapers I went ahead and bought the Ecover Softener in bulk. It had such raving reviews with the cloth diaper community and I wanted something that will not leave lots of chemicals against my baby's skin and keep the diapers working well. Since we are still awaiting our baby, I went ahead and washed all the baby clothes, as well as my family's own laundry and am very happy with the results. The smell is light, and my clothes are soft. This is another of my changes to be more green. I hope each change we make, inspires someone else to start small for our planet. I am definitely inspired by those who care!

Deserves 5+ Stars!

I bought 1 bottle of this fabric softner from another website because I wanted to try it before buying in bulk. I paid way to much for it at the other website but was very pleased with the scent and the softness of my clothes. I had previously tried other earth friendly fabric softners & they left a "funky" smell in my clothes. This fabric softner leaves a light fragrance, barely noticible, and controls static. I love all the Ecover products I've tried. Ecover has the best earth friendly products on the market. I'm sold for life. I just hope Amazon keeps selling & eventually adds these products to their subscription line.

Love Ecover products!

I second what another customer said: Amazon, take the advice of your customers and start offering the subscribe and save option for Ecover products! We love Ecover at our house and we love this fabric softener. I started using it when my son was born. It is gentle enough to use on babies' clothes but works just as well on grown-ups clothes. For a while they didn't even sell it on Amazon and I wrote an email begging them to offer it! I see now there are only two left and I really hope they restock. Now if Amazon will just sell the Ecover dishwasher tablets...Those I cannot live without!

love it but clogged front loading machine dispenser

I really like this smell, the way it makes clothes feel and that it doesn't upset sensitive skin. Unfortunately it was clogging the dispenser in our front loading machine. After I got it cleared out (hot water in the dispenser) I read that many front loaders clog with liquid fabric softener. So i've been using Mrs. Meyers dryer sheets. I still have more than half a case of these though. Sometimes I use it in the Downy ball, so I don't have to worry about clogging my machine.

love it

I bought this to use on my cloth diapers because so many moms recommend it. The scent is very mild and pleasing. It just smells faintly like leaves. It works great! I use it on all my clothes, especially when I line dry. I suggest using two cap-fulls when you're washing towels and jeans to make sure they get softened. Also, I was surprised at the size of the bottles; they're huge! This 6 pack will last a really long time! Oh, and I use a downy fabric softener ball as a dispenser.
