Provides improved cut
This blade set pulls the grass up much better and gives more even cut.

Completes the Select Cut Mower from 2020
If you're like me- and you purchased an Ego Select Cut lawn mower before they included this high lift blade, then it is worth every penny. I purchased the LM2135SP at the end of the summer last year. I was super excited about it! It had fantastic reviews, I love the idea of no more gas, no more oil changes, and no more worries about keeping up on maintenance. I totally bought into the idea of this lawn mower. Then... I used it. I was pretty disappointed. This mower had no suction or lift to pull the grass up for an even cut. I tried switching to the included mulching blade set- nothing. I was constantly frustrated by the uneven cut, and straggler lines of grass that the mower just straight up missed. I kept having to go back over second passes to clean up the poor job it did the first time. Which then messes up my lines and makes me sad. I had heard that on the older gen models that didn't have the dual blades- using a high lift blade helped with this suction problem. But- Ego didn't make one for their latest and greatest select cut mower! (At the time, or at least it wasn't available here in the US.) I look again this spring, Finally! Spring of 2021, I ordered these blades, sharpened them up a bit, and attached them to my mower- SUCTION. It actually seemed to work nearly just as well as my gas mower. I wasn't going back and having to clean up parts that it missed- it just pulled it all in and worked as it should have in the first place. I know ego advertises these blades to be used with the bagger attachment- but honestly I leave them on all of the time, because without them, the suction of this mower is absolutely abysmal. You need these blades for the mower to work properly, in my opinion. I'm finally happy with my purchase. I also recently learned that this year Ego started selling the select cut mower with this high lift set INCLUDED- which sort of frustrated me that they didn't do that in 2020 when I purchased mine. Can I get a refund, Ego? I will admit- I did notice, the mower does to better with the non-"High Lift" Blades if you cut your grass pretty short. But, I cut my grass pretty tall- because it's supposed to be better for it over the summer, and I like how it looks. When you have the deck up higher, the mulching and extended run time blades just straight up don't work. The grass basically just bends over to get out of the way of these blades. I'm one of those weird people that really does enjoy mowing my lawn. I look forward to it every week- sometimes twice a week. This blade set allowed me to start enjoying it again.

Far better cut than standard blade
This high lift blade does a much better job of cutting than the standard blade or the mulching blade that came with the mower. No longer leaves stripes of uneven cut grass. It also seems like more clippings find their way into the bag. It comes much closer to the suction of the 16 year old Honda powered commercial grade push mower it replaced. Still struggles to pull last years dried leaves out of the lawn on the first pass but it gets about half of them. I do notice a significant decrease in battery life with this blade compared to the high efficiency blade that came on the mower but the better cut quality is worth the trade off.

Does the job
EGO should really include the nuts and bolts for this blade set. On a special order it took 3 months to get the fastener hardware. This mower is quite a bit louder with this set than with the mulching set and it drastically reduces battery life, but it is very effective.

Great Upgrade to EGO Single Blade Mower
I upgraded my EGO single-blade mower to cross-cut (several YouTube videos on how to do this, including a parts list), and this has been great. With the single blade, there would be strips of uncut grass, even when overlapping the cut lanes. Using the two blades has pretty much eliminated those uncut strips. One blade pulls the grass up and cuts while the other blade cuts and mulches. Definitely the way to go, and you don't have to pay hundreds for a new dual blade mower.

Picks Up Really Well
I purchased this high lift blade set, because I have a backyard surrounded by trees that leave a lot of oak and maple seeds, and the standard blade set just wasn't picking all that up. This blade set definitely picks up a lot more of that type stuff, as well as picking up more wet leaves and little wet yard debris too. If all you have is grass to cut and pick up, the standard blade set that came with your mower should be fine but if you have some seeds and leaves to pick up, this blade is a huge improvement!

Rceived as pictured.
Don't buy this set if you need a bolt, nut, and/or washer. There is another set with the same blades and 2 bolts, 2 nuts, and washer.

Older single blade mower
I installed these on an older single blade self propelled ego. I would say I’m happy with the mulching ability, however the suction from the lift blades is not as great as the single blade. The single lift blade does much better side by side with this dual high lift blade set. I have not tried bagging, only mulching, but I’m disappointed the extra blade spinning actually lost lift/suction. As for using on older models, there is no issue. I’m still getting full battery life with the dual blades, and there are several videos out there showing what screws are needed.
