No residual coffee taste in the hot water anymore! ... if you like that sort of thing....

I drink coffee, and have a coffee maker - well, a couple of drip, a pour over, a French press... and as I am making water hot for coffee, if the fresh hot water is deposited into an actual "coffee pot" - so? Well, "so," the only real flaw in my wife of 38 (wonderful) years is her lack of love for coffee, or any coffee flavored things. She does like hot coco, though, and when I make hot water in my drip machine for her hot beverage of choice; even in my freshly washed and sanitized for your protection, as they say, Bunn-o-matic - she can find the tell-tale aroma or heavenly after taste of my freshly ground elixir of life. So, my son-in-law (Josh the runner) suggested I get a hot water pot that is dedicated to only heating and holding water - with no wonderful bean extract residue of any kind. At first I scoffed, but after a while, realized that one of these pots will pay for it self with only 4 missed trips to Starbursts for non contaminated hot coco. So, now she has hot coco without any hot coffee and is happy as is possible if pure hot coco is what makes one happy. Although, while writing this, I recall a Julian Smith video about hot Kool Aid... hummmmm...

Happy with this purchase

Does what it should. Makes water hot, quickly. Then you make tea. The blue LED light is a cool addition and I like that I can see through the cannister to watch the water boil and see when it's done. The element that heats the water is surprising cool to the touch and so is the cannister. This has been a great purchase.

Enjoy using the product. It is a bit loud, especially first thing in the morning. the glass and cord are durable. The cord is a short. Wish the lid was removable, to make for easier cleaning.
