Gnats be gone
Spring spring and early summer we always purchase these to help with fruit flies and gnats. I recommend buying the scented gel to put on them

Works
My daughter lives on a farm and loves these. They don't stink and flies come right to it.

These work better with a slight alteration.....
We raise goats and this year the fly population was just out of control! After tolerating those horrible smelly traps for years, I decided to give these a try. We used something similar with great success, but the company stopped making the long, tube design for some reason so we switched to these. If you place them in the right spot, they work well. They need to be in a spot where they get sun and low enough to where the flies will land on them. One very helpful thing I noticed is that the other long, tube type traps had graphics of flies printed on them which I thought was funny at first then noticed that they filled up fast. I guess flies are social insects that like to go where their kind is already gathering! I decided to experiment with these and and on one of the traps I took a black sharpie and put random black dots the size of flies all over the sticky surface and left the other trap the way it came from the factory. Sure enough, even though both traps were in the same spot, the one with the black dots attracted about 50% more flies!! Since I'd ordered 3 sets of these, I went ahead and "decorated" the rest of them to help them be more effective :) The only complaint about these I have is the cost. They seem expensive for what you get and how quickly they fill up and need to be replaced. They say you can rinse them off and reuse them but...ugh...it's gross and it didn't work to get the dead flies off. I've tried about 5 different types of the sticky traps and these seem to be the most effective. Hope this was helpful info for those shopping for products to help banish the bugs! :)

Fruit flies: Use INDOORS with bait for best results
Used these for trapping fruit flies in my kitchen. They don’t smell so they’re perfect for using indoors. I hung them up with a chain above my kitchen table and placed another one on the counter near the opening of my trash can. Didn’t attract any fruit flies until I put some bait in the bottom: basically, I placed a small piece of fruit in the bottom part of one of the openings. After 24h, caught 25-30 flies. If you have the black biting flies, may be a good idea to place another type of bait there, like a piece of meat or coldcuts. When you’re done: Just make sure to spray it down with insecticide outside (away from kids/pets) and bag it up securely (no holes) before putting it in the big trash bin outside, otherwise the larva/eggs can grow on the bait (piece of fruit in this case) and then you’re back to square one with tons of flies.

Not much of an attractant to flies.
Has large, sticky surfaces and is easy to hang. However, it seems the item is designed for those blind flies that randomly run into the trap, because i've had them hanging for some time now and the one inside is completely empty, and the one outside has a few flies stuck to the trap. I don't know that there is any attractant on them to draw in the flies.

Best fly traps we've ever used!
Bought four of these to place around our backyard. We have two dogs and 6 backyard chickens so we get a fair amount of flies even keeping the yard cleaned up daily. We have used a number of different fly "traps" from stinky to sticky and even tried fly "predators," but somehow the shape and color of these is far more effective than anything else we've tried. I used arched wrought iron basket hangers to hang them around the yard. One reviewer recommended making black dots on them with a marker to attract flies and we tried one with and one without initially. The reviewer was right, the dots attract more flies! So we put random black dots on all of them and they are by far the most effective fly control we have ever had. These things are loaded with flies! They also seem to attract yellow jackets, which is a bonus. We have a lot of honey bees in our yard and I was worried they would get caught, but so far only one honey bee met his fate, otherwise they are loaded with flies, gnats and yellow jackets. We are so pleased with the effectiveness that we intend to buy these every summer.

Does it's job
I am not going to dock this product for poor decisions in packing my order. The EZ Trap container is rather flimsy and my last order was shipped in a packing envelope, not a box. You can imagine what happened to the flimsy paste board. (Delivered 4/17/23 by USPS, direct from manufacturer??) Update April 15, 2023 We no longer have horses but our neighbor does along with cows. Each year as the weather warms up with wind blowing from my neighbors, we get loads of flies. EZ Trap takes care of those swarms pretty quick as the flies are drawn to the bright yellow. Also we use them in our dog kennel and again no fly problem. We also hang one in the attached garage and when opening and closing the garage doors, an insect might get in. Rarely does it make it into the house. I prefer to use these fly traps rather than fly tape or smelly baited type fly traps to cut down on the number of flies in the horse barn. I get satisfaction from "seeing" that the flies won't be bothering me or my horses. Warning: They are very sticky so be sure to hang them out of the way so your hair and your horses hair will not get caught.

Got them 24 hours ago - so good ordered again
Just got these 24 hours ago and they’re close to full already. Ordered the second batch just a moment ago. These things are fly WMD. One tip is to pick up the dog poop and put one right next to where the poop was. You’ll get a 100 flies quickly! UPDATE... a week later and they are completely filled with flies. Barely any yellow can be seen on the fins. Just tossed them and ordering four more. Best fly control product ever!!!!

Works okay
Well these are what they say they are, but probably larger than you think. They were for me. They "work" in that they're sticky... but they caught more small fruit flies, etc for me than houseflies. They work okay for no chemicals though it's kind of sad to see them sitting there trying to fly away. I'm gonna go hug my cat now.
