It doesn’t have a back for the kid to relax and feel safe and it doesn’t have any kind of belt for the just beginner walking. My granddaughter start to walk a month before I gave this rider toy , and she sat on it, and her body went to the side and to the back. I had to pick her away from the toy ! She is a year old and this toy is not safe, It doesn’t have, No back and no belt to hold the beginner till they are confidence with this toy.

It works

Price tag is hefty for what it is. Bought it as a gift but if I was buying for myself I would have returned it. Very basic.

Great for little kids

It is a perfect size for my 18m old grandson. He was able to seat down and put his foot on the ground. It is sturdy and holds him well.

This is a great ride on toy for a one year old

This is a great ride on toy for a one year old! It's the perfect size for my 16 month old, who is 25 lbs and 32 inches. The assembly is quick -- just snap the handlebars in place. Batteries are not included -- you'll need two AA batteries. The on/off switch is easy to access, and the volume is adjustable with two settings. It's nice to be able to use the Smart Stages to switch up the songs. My little guy likes to push the buttons while he scoots around. He was so excited when we took this out of the box! My four year old has tried it out a few times, but once the novelty wore off, he went back to riding his own Wheely Bug. I think this is definitely more for ages 1-2.5 or so. The wheels are basically rollers, so the scooter only really moves forward or backward. But it's so lightweight that my toddler can just walk with it when he wants to turn. I think the fact that it's lightweight and slower moving make it easier for him to maneuver independently, compared to the Wheely Bug. I wish it had a little trunk or place to put all the things the little guy wants to take with him, but he seems to manage fine without one. This is a great starter ride on toy!

Great introductory ride on toy for little ones

This is a good ride on toy for little ones. My daughter is 10 months old. She hasn't mastered how to get on and off by herself yet but she will sometimes push it around like a walker. She does enjoy riding on it once I put her on it but again I'm still pushing her at this point because she doesn't understand how to scoot it herself just yet. I think in the next couple months she will be riding this around all the time. The price was great, $20! It makes sounds (key starts ignition, horn, music, & talking) and she loves that. Their are 2 volumes and from one parent to another they are not obnoxiously loud like so many other kids toys. There are 3 stages of teaching, for ex. Stage one says "triangle", stage two days "red triangle" & stage 3 says "red means stop" so it progresses as your child develops. The only things I would improve would be 1) the seat should open to hold stuff like most other toys similar to this and 2) it would be nice if the handlebars actually turned to help steer it but they are stationary so the child must learn how to change direction by pushing with their legs. Overall, I am happy with this purchase as a first introductory ride on toy, especially for $20.

Great toy and great price

Great toy and great price. Sturdy for the child to sit on. It does not roll away from them while they attempt to sit. The batteries last a good amount of time as well.

Great ride on!

Great toy! Bought it for my one year old for his birthday, he is just starting to walk so loves to push it around the house and walk behind it. His feet aren't fully flat on the ground when he is on it and he is fairly long so should last him a while. Quite sturdy!

Great little trike

My 18-month-old son loves going for rides on this. He still hasn't full grasped the movement to propel himself forward so I have to push him and bending over and walking for 100ft can be tough on the back. He laughs and smiles every time and that's ultimately what matters. This product could be improved if it had a bit of a back rest as my son has a tendency to slide backwards and fall off sometimes. That's the reason for my 4 stars.

My nephew absolutely LOVES this toy. He uses it as more of a...battering ram...than an actual scooter but fingers crossed he grows out of that sometime! Regardless he adores it and especially enjoys the music it plays.

It's adorable! My 1 year old Grandson loved it Easy for the little ones to sit on and move. Durable material and love the bright colours. He'll have lots of fun for a long time.
