Works as expected
This devices takes a few minutes to put together. Once assembled, you can clip it onto the mower and remove it really easily. It doesn't have a huge capacity, but it's enough.

It works, but.....
Okay, I've been using the Fiskars Momentum mower for quite some time now. I have an urban lot with about 2000 square feet very flat lawn with even surface. As my grass is growing thick I finally decided it is time to get a grass catcher as there are way to many clippings. So today the Fiskars grass catcher arrived and I immediately put it to the test. Here are my thoughts: 1. It works - it collects over 90% of grass clippings which is enough to leave you with a nice, clean looking lawn. 2. It gets full rather quickly and the problem is that you can't wait for it to be completely full before emptying it; the reason for that is when you turn around the mower some of the clippings would slide back into the blades area; Not a big hassle, just keep tossing the clippings a bit more often. Think of this catcher as a flat bottom basket, rather then a deep bag. 3. The biggest problem - I have a pretty level yard without any bumps or wholes. Still in every lawn there will be some bumpiness as you mow. The catcher bounced many times and hit the spinning blades (the hooks of the catcher, just in front of the blades). Well, that's not good! It dings the blades and... just shouldn't be happening. I was careful not to mow to fast, but is still happened a few times in 10 minutes. Unless your lawn is as smooth as glass, you will very likely experience the same problem. I think whoever designed the catcher should've tested it "in real conditions". The verdict: Having a reel mower limits somewhat your options for collecting crass clippings. For as long as I have my Fiskars Momentum mower, I am going to use this catcher even though it is not ideal. I guess this is part of the trade off of using a reel push mower. If I ever decide I need a better way of collecting clippings I would get a conventional mower (cordless or electric) just for the better begging of cut grass. Final note: I know some people will say "just leave the clippings". I always leave them on the lawn every few mowings. However, my grass is very lush and I have to collect clippings quite often as well in order to keep my lawn looking good and healthy.

Be realistic in what you think this thing can do.
The unit I received was an updated version, preventing it from popping off as easily (if at all). It requires some fiddling to get it on and off, but you can make adjustments to find the 'sweet spot' and pull it on and off rather quickly. It does extend out a good bit, so yes, you won't be able to precision cut around edges (I don't anyway, I use a tool for that). Mine never fell off once when bumping it into things, but I can see where the older version would have. Be realistic in what you think this thing can do. Think of it as being the size of a paper shopping bag--you're not going to cut your entire lawn and not have to swap it out, and if you don't cut your grass very regularly you can expect to empty this thing a lot. I lowered my blades for the first cut of the season on my 1/4 acre bermuda lawn. I used this and it was hell, but there wouldn't really be any way to work through all the clippings being thrown in front of the mower, but I got through it. Now, the regular maintenance cuts are fairly easy. I think the people who would benefit from this most are those that are committed to cutting their lawn regularly (I cut mine a minimum of twice a week during the growing season with bermuda, second lowest setting on staysharp mower). This thing doesn't grant wishes, but will help keep the dogs and shoes from tracking some of the clippings into the house. I use it selectively where the dogs go, and just mulch where there isn't as much foot traffic. Overall, I have been pleased with this updated version.

Awkward to use, not very sturdy, does work
You're here because you bought an expensive reel mower with no collection bin. The good news is that this works, the bad news is this product can be very annoying to use. It clips onto the front, which makes the already awkward max reel even more awkward to use. The adjustments make for easy storage, but the compression hasp do not hold well. Expect this bag to move around, occasionally disconnect from the mower, and need to be emptied often if you have much to cut. It does collect most clippings, and if you need a bagger for your mower, it works. Looks great but doesn't perform quite as well as other combinations I've owned in the past. I fault this largely to the design of the mower, not the bag (same brand). If you really need a collection bag, this does work. You will likely find reasons to leave your clippings on the lawn which is better overall if you cut more frequently.
