No QC and customer support
Tool is unusable, lens insert at the crosshair side was turned so roughly and leave all turning marks after polishing. The lens is cloudy and the image is all in small waves, there is no optical sharpness, it's really hard to see what is going on under the base. I tried to contact Fowler customer support, no answer. Return. Also photos of a product 6 years old, no more lens with "dot in circle" only crosshair.

Awesome
One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. This is a gotta have if your getting older and can’t see as well as you used to like me and love to fabricate. can’t go wrong!!!

really handy tool
The quality is great. Much more precise than lining a traditional center punch up by hand. I don't use it for everything, but when I want to make a precise center punch from scribe lines or by laying a 1:1 scale paper print directly on my workpiece, I sure am glad to have this.

Works really well
Having never used a tool like this, I was skeptical. Looking at the photo did not make it clear whether or not it would meet my needs First time I used it, it became clear..GREAT tool The lens part really works well at directing ambient light down to the surface. The lens magnifies the target, even for an old dude with bad eyes. Once the target is located, replace the lens with the punch, and punch an accurate point

Quality Control Lacking; Not OnMark Quality.
Terrible quality. Holes measure .378" x .377", bombsite .373" and punch .3735" - recipe for terrible accuracy, and the holes being out of round just adds to it. Might as well buy an SPI for half the price, same garbage quality. This is NOT the OnMark optical center punch, even if it is (as far as I could tell) made by the same OEM (Products Engineering Corporation). Ended up just chucking up some stainless in the lathe and turning my own, though I hear the Grizzly Optical Center Punch (I know, who would have thought?!?) is perhaps the best offering on the market behind the elusive OnMark (no longer produced).

Poor quality
Cross hares not central so no good for precision work!! I have a spot on branded one made in the uk which is 20 years old which is 100 times better.

Works great
I've read the other reviews. I can only assume the others received defective products. This works perfectly. Its brought my fabricator game to a whole new level.
