Could be designed better
I only ran one batch so far. Other reviews noted the lid leaks. It does. If you pre-wet the seal like you would an oil filter that stops the leaking. Main problem is the tub needs something inside to help toss the brass and media around. Otherwise it just slides at the bottom once settles. This little set up needs minor owner modifications to work properly. Frankfort Arsenal use to make really good products. Unfortunately over the years their Q&A has gone down. I gave it four because the motor runs, tub rotates, and it’s at a good price point. Found it on sale for $70.

A Great Value
Depending on how much reloading you do these are a great value . I load for .38 Special and .45 ACP mostly and this tumbler works great. Some reviewers have complained of leaks but I have none as long as the lid is on tight enough . I can tumble 500 plus .45 ACP cases at a time and that works well for me . Also I don't use any of the stainless pins I just add Simple Green, some dish washing soap and vinegar and allow it all to tumble for about an hour or more and the cases come out plenty clean enough for reloading . I also de prime the cases first. This a pretty robust piece of equipment and I'm expecting...and hoping... to get many years of use out of it. Based on my experience I would recommend this product .

Love this tool. Made cleaning the brass with stainless steel media, 1tablespoon lemon shine, 1 tablespoon dawn, and 2 tablespoons Simplegreen for 3 hours PERFECT!!!

I own two of these and its a nice rotary tumbler but...
I like the large FART better. Now you might ask why I own 3 FARTS, I purchased the large one 1st, and it filled my needs very nicely but when tumbling a small batch it was way too big, then FA created the light version and I purchased one to try. I was disappointed in the beginning because unlike its big brother (the large FART) it is NOT coated on the inside of the tumbler, it comes with no SS pins, and it has no timer built into the unit and when I purchased it for for only 30 dollars less than the large FA unit. With no timer, I purchased a 110V timer that people use to turn lights off/on while they are not home to control the unit so if I forget the brass does not beat itself to death that alone cost me close to 20 dollars. So why did I buy another lite version if this one was so bad? because like I said it does a great job of cleaning small batches of brass and I like it for that reason but I also clean and polish my bullets with HBN and didn't want to use the same tumbler I use to clean brass, and FA wants almost the same price for one tumbler drum and cap as Amazon wanted for a complete unit. Now I have a 2nd motor assembly in case the 1st unit I purchased burns itself out. All and all its a nice unit, but if your only going to own one FART, buy the big one instead of this one, you will be happy you did.

It Works
It works. I saw many reviews of how the tumbler doesn't have enough power to turn the drum, but the one I got seems to work fine. The only problem I have is that the tumbling effect does not seem to be as active when there are less than 200 9mm brass inside. When there's ~ 400 9mm brass it seems to tumble quite well. I use this with 2.5lb's of stainless media and Horandy one shot cleaning solution. Will have to try the dawn detergent and lemi shine mixture next.

Une merveille, ca fonctionne tres bien et rapidement, le nettoyage avec un peu de savon a vaisselle, du vinaigre et de l’eau chaude et la job est impeccable , combiné avec un déshydratateur plus aucune taches et un travail de pro.
